    This one has been a go-to lately. These fellas at Flying Machine Brewing know what they’re doing. Damn good, haven’t had anything bad from this brewery.

    Never been a huge fan of IPAs...nothing wrong with 'em, just not my usual go-to.

    Of course, being built in Canada with Irish bits and pieces, heavy, dark roofing-tar-like imbibements are genetically wired in.

    But today, during a brief respite from January, the over-achiever-mid-life-crisis (the bloke opted for a mountain bike over a BMW convertible and 20 year old blonde, for which we should all be grateful, I reckon) neighbour returned from a trek up our mountain and invited me over for a pint to celebrate his unheralded and unlikely survival....not being one foolish enough to look a gift horse in the mouth - back to those Irish polynucleotides again - I acquiesced, even when he suggested I try this new offering from Steamworks, a long standing local brewery (They've made Craft beer in Vancouver since long before it became fashionable)

    You guys from New England must be having an impact on me....I truly enjoyed this one, enough that I will actually seek it out....
