    Good point. That skid is sort of tricky to reinstall anyway since it's been banged up a bit.

    Just keep them out of the elements. I went cheap and mounted a pair on my roof rack. the "stainless" bits where the locks pass through rusted all to hell in about a month.

    You should see mine the L & R are torn in half at the headlight mount, flexed so much broke the hood latch off the hood, and am starting to tear the inner wheel wells. Tears all over under the headlights. Ratchet strap hold the hood down right now.
