    Good Morning Folks.

I am in the same situation Mike, only it's not with my son, IT"S THE MISSUS telling me to sell them...she says what do you still need them for! Silly woman.

Enjoy the Mountain Rob and hope your sanity restoration goes good. At some point, we all need that.

As for SIRI, I have her evil twin sister Galaxy in my samsung phone.

Have a really great day folks and be safe out there.

Yesterday was good. The wife has entirely too much energy, LOL. We went to the nursery center and bought the plants we needed. Came home and planted the last planter and both knock out rose bushes. After her yoga class we dug up almost 1/2 of the daffodils around the front tree and started the process to pland annuals under the tree. I also pre-fabricated the 14-50 outlet I need to install at my sisters this Saturday. Glad I did this at home. 6 gauge wire is a PITA to work with when the outlet is going in an electrical outlet box. Cooked up a couple of pork tenderloins yesterday for dinner.

Today we just have to amend the soil under the tree, plant the 20 plants, and tie back the remaining daffodil green leaves.

Drove up to Deerfield, Massachusetts and back yesterday to get my plants. Truck got 28 mpg for the trip up and back...a really nice day for a drive. Got the elderberries in the ground yesterday afternoon and half of the raspberries (30 plants), in addition to mowing half the lawn and spraying the strawberries last night after dusk. Today's mission is to plant the remaining raspberries and plant 25 asparagus roots (oh, and finish mowing the lawn...).

    Good morning all,

I can't even imagine giving up my woodworking tools and machines - AHHH WTH. I do get pushed to down size my vehicle collection an perhaps that I should with driving less and having two specialty vehicles that I do not use anymore - maybe it is time to let someone else enjoy them... Will think about it - not selling the 71 FJ40, that is my restoration project down the road.

Off to take both puppers down to the Springs to my old vet. Had enough of the vet clinic up here. They have changed veterinary docs five times in the last year and a half - something is up there and the service has been really bad of late. It is a little bit of a hike but in case of an emergency we would still have to go down to the Springs so why not change now.

Beautiful morning but another day of late afternoon storms then a day or two (fingers crossed for 2) of warmer, dryer weather. Need to get more trees cut and moved when the getting is good.

Enjoy the mtn Rob. Col do share the final product once completed - Tom, that post made me hungry.

Have a great and safe day everyone

    :hattip: Good Morning CODM

Thank you Sir, I plan too. Doing some trailer reconfigs today in preparation. Taking my old 6x10 enclosed trailer down off blocks, putting it to better use than storage for extra junk at the house. For next couple weeks it'll be at a friend's place near trailhead. Using it to stage stuff we need to get out to cabin. Our carrying capacity is diminished on the wheelers vs trucks. A few trail shuttles Thu & Fri will get most of it. Hopefully another two weeks trail will be dried out enough to get it onto property. Then it becomes a mobile tool crib/mini workshop; and will do back-up role as extra bunkspace those 3-4 weeks during Summer when folks come to visit. It'll be awesome to bring the tools to wherever we're working instead of running back and forth to the shed or pole barn for each tool needed.
At least thats the plan we hope to execute.

    Have a great day! :)

    Respect :oldglory: GBA

I (like the rest of us) have been raised a tool hoarder...... and of course the odd left over materials ("this may be handy one day"). There's also the stuff I inherited from dad...... and his dad and so-on. According to those that excavate caves in Europe - there are piles of spares in the corners that are not trash (that stuff got thrown outside). They just didn't have a coffee can handy (these plastic things are junk). So hoarding tools and supplies is about a 40,000 year old habit. My wif doesn't agree................

Interesting stuff recently about the "unidentified aerial phenomena" huh? One of my dad's engineer friends flew cargo "over the hump" in Asia during WWII. Chris said that in total blackout, dead of night - with no fighter escort - their "little buddies" would appear and run with them all the way to China. Not just once but many trips.

A little something every chance we get.
:pccoffee: Good Morning Porchites! Great to have LBR home, even if I have to go through the accessory wiring to put it back. In other circumstances, I'd be a little upset, but I have the stereo, and everything still works - just have to find a new place for an accessory tap, and fix up some hardware. Shroud should be here Friday (the real one), along with the new grill to build. So, along with mowing when the rain quits, I gots some stuff to do this weekend!
Happy Hump Friday everyone, and Mike, you are taking this retirement thing too seriously!

That was a pretty interesting 60 Minutes last Sunday, about the UFO's. I've always been pretty skeptical even though I saw something others saw, and no one could identify when I was a kid. Pretty weird shit that it seems the govt. is now more inclined to give it some credence.

    Morning all:
Yes, interesting about the sudden "real interest" in UFO's! I had posted awhile back about something I saw while in boot camp, no way in heck that it was anything from this planet. Something that could move across the sky at high altitude at phenomenal speed, stop on a dime, form a triangle going from point to point to point, and then accelerate up and back into space just cannot be dismissed as mistaken identity, optical illusion, swamp gas, or any other explanation that I have ever seen.
Since the military is seeing them, wonder what would happen if they fired at them, there might be a reason that they don't! :notsure:

Uh NO Mike, I don't have a death wish.

Mine would be plot 35 at the local cemetery...LOL
    With no marker .

I was told I need to stop drinking :drunk: when I talked about UFO's Carl. What is that saying..."They are walking among us". :tinfoilhat: Time to get the foil hat out.

Best thing if you don't want to get texts is turn off texts in your notifications. They will still come in, but your phone won't bug you when they do. Can always answer them in your leisure :D. Or just turn the phone off until you need it .

I’ve spent a tremendous amount of time in the boonies, wilderness, and back country and have seen and experienced some strange things. But the following was told to me by a friend. You all may find the following interesting as told to me
by my best friend a former naval combat pilot. For several years he flew as a corporate pilot. He flew powerful influential vip’s all over the world. He forbade me to disclose the names. Anyway one time he was flying some of these vip’s from somewhere in the east to the west coast. In route he asked permission of control in Area 51 to fly over Area 51 which was granted (I don’t remember the reason he asked,I think it had something to do with either weather or air traffic). He asked and was granted permission because of who the people were on the plane.
While flying over Area 51 at 600 mph something passed his aircraft on his left side at speed faster than any aircraft in the world could do. He,his copilot and 2 of the passengers saw it. Just after it passed him it then went vertical in a split second and climbed straight up and out of sight and disappeared. It disappeared while going vertical in 2 or 3 seconds. It went from horizontal to flying vertical in a fraction of a second. Again no aircraft can do that. He immediately reported this to Area 51 control. He was told there were no other aircraft in the area. He repeated and reaffirmed what he and others saw. They repeated no other aircraft in the area, told him it did not happen, that he did not see anything and made it clear the conversation was over permanently. He has no idea what it was, can’t even venture a guess. He just says nothing known to man can do what he and the others saw.
I have some of my own stories but I thought his was pretty mind boggling.
We are in the middle of our little road trip which I will elaborate on in a day or 3.
