I was thinking of moving the ECT button to the left side of the steering column. How did you do yours and what type of switch did you use?

Where did you get your box? Been looking through Amazon for over an hour now. There's either junction boxes, or iPhone cases... Can get something similar to yours but opaque, leaning towards that, just would like it clear if possible.
    Thanks.

Edit: or weird size dry boxes.

Thanks to this thread I got my Aux system set up today. Now I just need to add some accessories!

You can see my bracket info in my build thread.

I bought this also. Waiting for better weather to install. From everything I have read, looks like it will do the job that I want it to do. I need to find a good momentary switch to dim the switch panel light.

I don’t know much about that thing other than it looks like a cheaper version of a Spod.

Personally I don’t like the interface of the Auxbeam, the Spod, or the Switch Pro. I like the look of the OEM style push buttons in the truck. Plus I know I am only going to have 4 or 5 accessories on the truck and one will not need a switch.

I haven’t looked closely but I would like to see how the system protects from over draw. It looks like it comes with a CB but I’m not sure. The other “inconvenience” I can see is that the switches are dependent on the fuse block. So if you have 3 accessories that draw different amps the switches wouldn’t be next to each other. Maybe that’s OCD for me but I wouldn’t like that.

As for cost I am in for about $100 but that doesn’t include relays and switches. The system described in this thread isn’t the cheapest option but I liked the DIY nature of it. I had to make my own power cables and they cost me $54 in materials. The Fuse Block is about $36 on Amazon and the CB was (I think) $25? Throw in a pack of 5 waterproof relays ($25) and a single switch ($20) this project gets more expensive than the Auxbeam.

The benefit I saw was the ability to build this up over time as I start adding accessories and having a clean wiring system. Plus the use of OEM style switches. That’s just my thing. Hope this helps.

Thanks OP! I just made up my copy of this box last night. Much appreciated for all the advice contained here. Now just waiting for my bumpers and new switch panel from @MESO customs so I can hook up some Clark Griswold level lights on my rig.

w/ custom Meso switch panel (highly recommend). I already got rid of the ditch lights - didn't like looking at them and they didn't add any useful coverage for me. Going to add 4 more BD squadron sports to the front bumper when I get around to wiring them up and use the current ditch lights switch spot.
