I would keep the old one. I have one that that comes in handy when I need a mini jack for some suspension tuning or to jack up one side of the Tacoma bed.

I've found multiple instances where having one larger and one smaller jack to be useful when working on the Tacoma and 4R.

I would never sell an old floor jack or stands as someone could potentially sue you if they jack the car up and it drops. Shouldn't be that way but it is 2021 where everything gets settled in court.

Man I'd hope any judge would see how a jack, like many tools/appliances, requires regular maintenance and once you become the owner of a used one, that due diligence is on you.

But you're right, you never know these days

I believe it. The land is more valuable than the structure in this case. There was this abandoned shack of a house in San Francisco with a only few thousand square foot lot that sold for $2.5 Million.

Property is $$$ here, especially in the SF Bay Area and Los Angeles.

tell me about it. I've had to go over the claims made by one of my former coworkers who's suing this company because he felt he was wrongfully terminated. Its been over 2 years and it's going before an actual jury now I guess. I've had to look over the claims he's made and every last one of them is either a flat out lie or grossly exaggerated. I bet he'll get a settlement. Its crazy.

btw this is the same guy who let his engine seize up because he thought his oil light was a maintenance light and he could ignore it.

Yeah but this property is right at the 405/10 freeway interchange...literally right off the side of it, how TF can that be valuable residential property unless they're hoping someone buys it to tear it down and build a shopping center, IDK

That happens here in some of the older semi-historic or historic neighborhoods. People buy the house and property to tear it down and build a larger house. Though the new house design needs to be approved by the specific planning/zoning commission to look like it was built during the same period as the other houses.

I just don't see how this area in particular could be considered valuable property...these are two of the busiest freeways right through LA

It's like having a 10 lane freeway for a front and backyard

I dunno maybe they're planning on building another stadium right there or something.

The camera seller contacted me this morning to say an internal battery used for date/time stamping pictures has failed. They took off $50 for that. So now I'm at $150.

I don't use a date/time stamp on my cell phone pics. I think I turned off the feature on one of my other digital cams. Though if I switch batteries, it will lose all of my preference settings. I can look around for a replacement cmos battery.
