Would someone with a 2020 (or later model) Tacoma be willing to snap some pictures of the Display & Radio Receiver harness' male connector as well as the socket it plugs into in the back of the OEM head unit? It will be a 28-pin connector. I do not have direct access to a 2020 (or later model) truck and need visual confirmation that I'm working with the correct connector.

First one to send me the pictures gets a free 2020 (and later) version of the mic adapter once they're available for sale.

    Thanks!

Damn, I can do it tomorrow morning. I'm sure someone will provide what you need sooner than that.
If I read this sooner, but I'm ready to go to work.

    @WickedAx I'm not seeing a 28 pin male. I have 2 26pin and 1 32pin females.

Edit: This is a 2020 OR MT

@jstemp, that's perfect! Thank you so much! Not sure when the 2020 (and later models) adapters will be ready but as soon as they are, I've got one earmarked for you!

FYI - The gray harness (the one in the second picture you posted) has 28-pins as there are 24 small pins and then the 4 larger pins on the left and right side at the very top between the spring latch.

    Thanks again!

Is there any waiting list for the 2020 mic adapters when there come out?

@WickedAx I doubled up the white connector pic. Here is the last. So it's a white, black, and gray

Not yet, @JJD92. I want to build a few prototype units first and conduct some acceptance testing before I pull the trigger on a large production run. I'll put up a product listing for a 2020 (and later models) adapter on my site and enable the waitlist feature when I'm ready to go to production. Not sure of the timing of that at this point though (I'll drop a note into this thread when I'm ready to do that.)

@WickedAx Will this work or do you need to see in more detail?

@jstemp, does your truck have SOS (it'll have a button in the overhead console that you press to access emergency services?)

Ah, that explains it! I was wondering why I wasn't seeing a VDC line out of the OEM head unit to the telephone/mic module but that's because in the 2020 (and later models) with SOS, the telematics module is powering the telephone/mic assembly (as opposed to the head unit providing the power.) That lines up with what I'm seeing in the wiring diagram.

In the picture below, I placed a red dot on one of the pins on the back of the white connector between the electrical tape wrapped wire and the white wire. Can you tell me if that slot is empty or does it have a red wire coming out of it (I'm assuming it's the former but need to be sure?)

@jstemp was kind enough to provide pictures for a 2020 with SOS. I also need pictures from a 2020 WITHOUT SOS. Same deal I offered before - whomever can provide me with pictures of the connectors on the back of their stereo from a 2020 (or later) truck that does NOT have SOS will get a free 2020 (and later) version of the mic adapter once they're available for sale.

There is no wire in that spot.

@WickedAx, I’ve been reading up on how people have kept their Germes Lab RFCC Anytime Camera Interfaces with aftermarket head units and plan to do the same. But before I tear everything apart and cut the connector off of Germes Lab power harness to splice into the aftermarket harness, do you see any reason why your microphone adapter won’t work with the camera interface? If it won’t, I won’t mangle the camera interface and will just sell it. Thanks!

Edit: I ask but the Germes Lab unit appears to share a connector with your product.

I have your setup. Pioneer, germes, and this kit. I am working hard to locate my OEM microphone. I believe it's in the box with my eTune head unit. If you can wait a week or two I should be able to give you 100% confidence all is well. From this vantage point I give you 99% confidence it'll be fine, they use different pins.

I'm also mid-flight on re-routing my internal aux fuse block power so I actually have no steering wheel radio controls or germes or cameras right now (quite the bummer).

Awesome, thanks! I’m hoping to install everything tomorrow, so I may beat you to it, and if I do, I’ll let you know how it goes. For the Germes, did you splice in the 12V wire, amp wire, or the accessory wire? I saw where people spliced into the amp wire, but I have JBL, and that’ll use the amp wire, so I was looking at the accessory wire, but being a 12V camera in the front, I had considered that too but was worried about a leach on the battery.
