Shipped May 5th. Arrived May 18th.

It plugged in and worked right away. I started playing with the dpi and got it stuck at 130 and it refused to change. Even the reset button didn't work. I finally got it working if I changed the limit taps option at the same time. It seems like 100 is the sweet spot for split screen.

You can get maps and Spotify to show up side by side. Then quickly switch each one to the larger portion of the screen. It's like a 80/20 split. It's way better. Originally designed for huge Tesla sized displays, but works just fine on ours.

Wow...cool. I was disappointed you couldn't do this just with the head unit...great to know!

It was annoying that the built-in head unit could do split screen but AA couldn't. I'll have to try this out!

Will that only work with the AAW device then, or is there a way to get that working with regular AA when you are plugged in via cable?

    Wait, what?

I can do split screen on Entune for Entune only apps, but not if i'm running AA with my phone plugged in. Did you find a way to do it - say have Google maps and Spotify side by side?

You can do split screen if you have AAWireless. There is a feature that lets you adjust the DPI which tricks AA into thinking you have a larger screen than you actually do. I found setting this to 100 is right for our screens. I'm not sure if there is a way to do it with wired AA. There is probably something involving root, but I never bothered to look.

LOL... I got that from your posts.

@deusxanime seemed to indicate that he could do it without using the AA device.

No no I meant Entune could do split-screen (for example, have your car nav and audio both on home screen), but normal plugged AA cannot. Like you, I was hoping there might be a DPI setting, hidden or otherwise, that we might be able to set in AA to allow split-screen. But it sounds like that setting is specific to AAWireless, so we can only use it when running with that.

Anybody else getting random reboots after 20ish minutes? It always seems to recover.

Assuming you did the DRAM fix (if applicable)?

I think they rolled it into the OTA updates at this point. What firmware version are you running?

Mine randomly reboots on a regular basis. About every 30 minutes. It uses a lot of battery. The phone gets pretty hot.

I agree on the battery usage. Mine only got hot when I tried to use the AAWireless device and charge my phone at the same time.

Did you ever verify you got the DRAM fix and your firmware is up to date? I'm sure they would RMA it for a new device, mine doesn't reboot ever.

It works fine, but chews up the battery on my phone really quickly, so I haven't used it too much. I do like it when I use it though, usually if I'm doing errand running around town. Seems to work best for stuff like that where you are doing a short trip with a lot of stopping/starting, where keeping have to unplug/re-plug it in would get annoying.

I've emailed with them a few times on the reboot issue. It's a known problem. I think it may be a location based reboot. It's odd, but I can drive under one bridge and it reboots every time. I'm wondering if I switch networks at that spot? Maybe it's an S21 issue. It never happens on my 20 minutes drive to work.

Thanks for the feedback yall. I've been on the fence about it, since I would use it more for longer road trips.
