Interior Overhead Molle Rack

I'm thinking I need a custom mount for a bottle of Casamigas on the passenger side.

 

That would work well for attaching quick fists and what not...
Sounds similar to what I made for my DBCustomz grill inserts:

 

Cant wait for the MESO chrome delete for this. I spent so much money getting rid of all the chrome, then I spend money to put some chrome back in it... SMDH

 

My rack is supposed to arrive today and I'm wondering if I can find replacement black bolts - too much chrome with the originals.

 

That is the exact idea that some company did for a regular molle rack. I bought one just to see if it fits docloco's behind the seat ones. If it does, I plan on buying more of those.

 

Too much is right.
I just apply black fingernail polish to the bolt/screw heads to hide any silver shine. I have pre-painted bolt heads, but at the risk of the tool scrapping the paint off.

 

I've tried that pre-painting too many times...what's that definition of insanity? Nail polish will work if I can't find another alternative.

 

I'll make them for you cheaper. Let me know how many you'd want? They will be ABS (I have a few colors if you want something other than black) so the ones you found might be stronger if you need the strength? I supposed they'd have to be glass filled nylon to really outperform ABS though... The inserts I made for my grille snap into the holes, I got the tolerance just right. I'd do the same with these and then add a screw hole in the middle.

 

Yeah, the one I got was actually $12... damn expensive. But I do believe they are aluminum (they don't snap into the holes, but just act as a back support for the quickfist mounts). They also do sell blank ones if I decide to drill/tap my own, but first I need to see if they fit right.

Not sure how well the ABS would hold up with my driving, lol, but I do appreciate the offer. If these don't fit, I'll figure something out with you.

 

Mine arrives today, too. Going to swing by Fastenal and look for black hardware.

Does anyone know the sizing of the 4 mounting screws? I'd like to find some that are black, if possible, before I install the rack.

 

M6 I know it’s on one of the previous pages Meso chimed in. I want to say m6x15, m6x45, m6x60. I just installed then ordered bolts to swap out one at a time

Fmw fasteners , they didn’t have 15mm so did a 14 and 16 to see what works better

 

Got it! I have them loaded in my cart. Did you find anything for the washers or are you just staying with the stainless?

I'll check my local hardware store - they have the style screws, just not the correct sizes. I'm thinking they will have washers. Thanks for the info!!
