    Glad you clarified that because the lady in the mirror was the first thing I noticed.

    I also had a little trouble with the rear inserts on my sun roof model. They just wouldn't go into the factory cutouts. I was able to squeeze them down just a bit. I threaded in the install bolt first, to avoid crushing the threads. Then gave a pinch with the "channel locks".
    the second picture shows one of the inserts after i worked it enough to fit.

    Asking for a friend…

    If you install a jack nut into one of the wrong holes and now you can’t mount the custom molded bracket that houses the dome light; is there a way to remove a jack nut once you use the jack nut to secure it?

    So I don't have a good relationship with jack nuts. You guys having issues worry me. Wonder if riv-nuts might be a better choice?

    Rivnuts will not work. They require a perfectly round hole to seat and grab properly. The holes in the Tacoma roof are rectangle, so a jack nut is the best from my testing. The 4 “arms” spread out and take up the extra space in a rectangular hole.

    Haven't really considered it yet. Let me know the specifics of what you're looking for, we'll sort it out. Few bucks per chip, I would imagine? They'd probably be about $1 each in materials. I have Red, Yellow, Orange, Green, White and Black in ABS only (that is all I print with since most of it is truck oriented). Send me a DM - happy to make you anything you want that I am able to produce. Only issue right now, is shipping. Sending to a local 10 miles away from me is still $11. Each print tells me how much material it used in meters, so it is pretty easy to compute material cost. Revisions to get the design perfect are on me. So, really, the biggest cost would be shipping more than likely. The more chips you would want, the more economical it becomes.

    Install went smooth other than installing one jack nut in the wrong hole. Super sturdy and no rattle, not to mention the finish on this is top notch!

    I did. It’s self explanatory once you take the grab handle off the truck. I don’t have pics of the handle retaining pieces but if you post the pics, I’ll help you.

    I installed the panel without the spacers. I couldn’t get them on. Seems ok

    @MESO

    Man got a little nervous since I ordered two racks with two grab handle retention kits and one box showed up. Sneaky, putting them both in the same box. I was ready to have words with UPS when I got home. :argue:

    To be clear, I ordered two so I could do a give away for my subscribers, so someones getting my box.:thumbsup:

    Just give the jack nut tool a firm love tap and they go right in.

    Got mine installed in < 10 minutes. Too dark for pics. Time to order gear to mount!

    I put mine in this morning. I found that removing the dome light was a little harder than in the video - besides the 4 clips shown, there are two others that have to be pushed back to get it to release. Once I figured that out, it pulled down easily. I also used a little "percussive maintenance" but hitting the back of the jack nut tool to get the jack nuts through the rear openings. The fronts went in easily.

    Great quality as usual.......but now I am really lusting after a V2 Dome Light. :drool::spending:
