I wish there WERE previous patches. The coverup was just that they removed the wet drywall, put paneling up over the drywall as a shitty wainscoting, put mismatched baseboards down and called it a day.

That doesn't include demoing the rest of the drywall, mold abatement of the studs, removing the carpet and putting it all back to rights.
