2015 F150 platinum. Wanted a smaller truck that fit in the garage as I don't like parking outside and my f150 had a ton of issues. If I ever have kids ill get a full size again as this truck is too small for kids and girl etc

I was a single man that year with no kids, no worries, able to pay for it outright, good job, no wife..... Fast forward to 2016.

    Now a 2016 TRD Sport. 4 Door. White 6spd.

Life changes, but I wouldn’t change a thing.

91 Yugo. I offered it as a joke. As it had a vin they gave me a free bed mat for it. It had not run in ten years and they actually sent a junkyard flatbed to get it from my brothers boneyard. I signed the title directly over to him, so basically they junked it for me.

I traded a 2019 Ram 1500 Sport. It was flawless for the first 55,000 km and then I had some issues with the 4wd auto and rear locker setting. Then I started having minor issues with the 12" screen. Both issues were fixed just before the warranty ended.
I drive a lot of km's for work so I was left with a choice of continuing to drive it out of warranty and take my chances, or to take the trade in offer I received, which was very good in these crazy times (just traded last month). Plus, in one more year I would have around 80k km's on it and the resale would take a big hit.
I decided on the 2021 Tacoma for resale value and the reliability reputation Tacoma has. Once things return to normal I know I will still get a decent price for this truck even with a lot of km's on it.
This is my first mid size truck and it has been an adjustment, but I do like when I have to fill it up much better than a full size. There is also something be said to having physical buttons for things like temp control and heated seats. With the Ram that was controlled through the 12" screen. If that 12" screen went down you would lose a lot of functionality for interior features. I imagine that screen would be a huge expense out of warranty.
The Tacoma is pretty fun to drive as well, and I think it will handle the winter roads much better.

I traded my FJ for the Taco so I’d have something reasonable for daily duties.... all in prep for trading my Macan for a better P car for the weekends.

Still miss my S. It was a great commuter and good for a night on the town too.

Sold my 2004 BMW 330i ZHP 6MT, absolutely loved that car and was planning on keeping it forever. Made a move further south and the roads didn’t get any better + my old Tundra had crapped out and I was sick of white knuckling in the winters. And it was always tough planning out getting my car to Michigan for my brother to work on it every year to keep the repair cost down. His coworker made an offer on it while it’s up there and I realized that it’d be possible for me to get into my dream truck.
I’ll own another down the line but for now I couldn’t be happier with my 19 OR 6MT. Definitely taking awhile to get used to the difference in shifting but I can tell that if I baby this the same way I did the BMW that it’ll last me even longer!6CEFD181-FFF2-4210-85CA-82824750CD3E.jpg

A 2019 Audi Q8. It was way faster, handled better, was way more fun and even towed a heavier load better but it was just too nice and didn't have a bed to put all the dirty stuff in. When you realize you can't wipe your hands on your pants while fishing because you have to get back in the everything covered in leather interior while carefully wrapping your dirty crap in a tarp in the trunk it kinda makes the car less enjoyable. I took a gamble on not having a truck for a bit and it didn't pay off.

Yeah the q8 is way nicer not even a comparison but I wouldn’t go from that to a Tacoma.would prob go f150 or the like as the interiors are def more similar than a Tacoma

Sold my Porsche Cayenne GTS to buy my Tacoma. The Porsche was an awesome suv but the maintenance was crazy expensive and it only got 14 mpg.
