    I believe you and @OVTune but man, I don’t think my truck has EVER skipped gears. And I have floored it plenty of times at many different speeds trying to make it happen. For me, it will always downshift one gear, run there for a second, then downshift again.

    maybe i just suck at driving automatic

    Try linking a video? I'd be interested in seeing this. I've had it do that on rare occasion, but that's been like, twice. You can tune it out too.

    Dude, I have Gbs of TS logs of yours and others tunes.
    Yet to see it. Perhaps on fat cows, but not on stock even in on the passes.

    You just said you see it happen from 3 to 1.
    So, the transmission can skip gears.

    For sale 2018 Tacoma 45000 miles. Except 6th gear, that's practically new.

    Consider gears. 5.29 is a bit much for 33s if you drive interstate a lot, but I'm on 33s and love the new gears. Never spent so much time in 6th. Climb grades with ease. It's amazing. Still pull 21+ mpg if I drive nice. 55-60 is best mileage, over that begins to decline.

    Thats why I told the other dude it functions like stock.
    All this 6 and 5 downshift 2 gears is a poor tuning and I've mentioned many times on a few threads.

    Lol. My truck was also pinging bad on 87. Its a long bed that identifies as a short bus.

    In 10 years when I part it out you can have dibs on my like new 6th gear.
