I think the auto pumps work through some kind of Venturi system. That's good to know it's happened to other people, so maybe it's truly just a bad pump.

@JKO1998 what kind of bow do you shoot? I'm in the market for one. leaning towards a cheaper bear legit but I'm tempted to get a nicer used bow, it will just be more of a pain to set up vs buying new at a pro shop they will be happier to help me out.

Even if you wanted to, I don't think that RAM will make it 50 yards before either the engine goes out or the body rusts into a million pieces.

I already put 500 miles on the engine after all the work. I do need to put a new cam and exhaust on it. She's not happy with the cam lol

Taking the bed off is EZ. 20 minutes with two ratchet straps and an engine hoist.

Hell pick a day I'll bring my hoist and help you do it.

I really want an obsession but I also don’t think it would be responsible since I don’t really know what draw length I’m pulling and I’d have to buy mods to swap out. Measuring I am right above 29. I shot a pse 29 and it felt a touch short but I don’t know what I’m doing very well.

a good friend I met last year loves his Phoenix and I found a nice used one on archery talk that is tempting.

I finally got a conditional offer to work for TxDOT. They didn’t offer me the max salary for the position but it’s $5K more per year than through the contractor, health insurance is covered, and benefits/time off are better. Also wouldn’t be driving my personal vehicles for work. Naturally they need my decision by Friday so I don’t have the weekend to think on it.

My supervisor already knows they’ve been in touch with me so it would be as easy as submitting my two week notice Monday and taking a drug test.

Can’t imagine I’ll work for them for 20+ years like a lot of guys in the agency. But I think it’s in my best interest to take the offer.
