A little research had me thinking I'd need to swap my fog lights for something DOT approved, fix that one tire that's rubbing on what's left of my cab mount, and do something about the TPMS light.

Thanks man! We've got a place and reserved movers for early June. Now I've just got to get the truck there

If it makes you feel better, I just bought some Hutchinson Rock Monsters and threw those on the truck. They retail for $500 each. Thankfully I got them used.

Might have saved a few, but the extra work to replace two of the gaskets in them sucked.

I do not have DOT fogs and I have the anytime fog light mod/use my Baja Design Sports as DRL, the TPMS light has been on on my truck for at least 2 years. Might need to do something with the rubbing. Also probably depends on where you go for the inspection. Dont go to a dealership.

    I go here:

Thanks for the help! My last inspections were in MA before I did anything fun with the truck and it seems like VA is much less strict.

This house we are renting will have a garage so I think it's time to do all the things I haven't done yet, like get a welder.

Hopefully the truck fits in the garage. I have a 1 car garage, but no way my truck fits with my motorcycle and tools and other junk haha

We've never seen the place so it likely won't fit. Big driveway though. It's in Vienna right outside the beltway.

It'll be a huge step up from my current apartment and I'll be able to store tools somewhere besides in the truck.

Randy, picked up the RXT locally here today. Was actually surprised they were in stock. Any tidbits of info for install that aren't in the online instructions? Is the downward facing clamp to the back or front? I am installing them at the Option 1 setting, so thankfully no tearing apart the leaf pack (yet). Pretty stoked...doing the install this weekend. Thanks again for the recommendation!

The downward clamp is at the rear, front is the double wrap around the front bushing. As far as tips, torque all 3 bushings (2 leaf, 1 shackle) with the truck on the ground because of the rubber bushings. Bounce on the tailgate a couple of times before torquing as well.

If you want an accurate way to measure before and after lift, measure from the top of the axle tube to the bottom of the frame rail. Stock is 8.25”

Other than that, it’s pretty straight forward! Like any other leaf install.

Thanks! I think I will actually be dropping a bit in height since I am removing the HD Dakars. I am running a 3 degree shim currently with the Dakars, hopefully I won't need it with the new pack. Did you run the stock mini shim that comes with the OEM pack with your RXTs?

Haha, hopefully I don't screw it up! :D It will be a while, though. I'd rather have a better suspension setup right now than the tune, and unfortunately there is only so much money to go around.

    Well, we're waiting!

I like that a lot more than your previous bumper. Fits the new build perfectly.
