I went to a tack shop/trailer dealer. They had one in stock, the aforementioned. That seems to be what everyone holds. She looked up a blue ox, and quoted me at 900. I just want to make sure that there isn't a more affordable option before going that route. I'll check into Reese.

I have 4' long 1/2" rebar with the end rolled 180. After having the house hit by a tornado and 2 other tree downing wind events I didn't want to rely on the 3 cheap ones they provided.

You need to work with a dealer who understands what they are selling so you get the best setup for you, not just what they stock.
Try a big camper dealer and see what they have to say.
Hate to see you spend $$$ and not get the best performing setup for your money.

Good morning fellow Pennsyltuckyvanians!!! I'm loving this hot weather!!

Lynn got home from visiting her sister in Georgia last evening - all is right with the world again. I think I'll work on some small projects and install the new MESO toy in my truck this morning. This afternoon I'll be in the pool.

    Be safe!!

That should be a one day project in a drive way with hand tools. You have to loosen all 6 bolts in the cab mount, and then lift each side with a jack to get the lift pucks in. The hardest part is probably getting the carpet and trim up so you can access the bolts.

Hey Mike. I'm new with this whole thing so can't really give you a hell of an insight, I'll just show you what I got.

This is blue ox WD for up to 750 lbs tounge weight. Notice the huge drop!
(unfortunately swing-out had to come off)
    IMG_20210520_3199.jpg IMG_20210520_191.jpg
I got it from e-trailer. It wasn't as expensive as whatever you were quoted, but still getting up there (ball and nut were not part of the kit)

I got RedArc brake controller, mostly because it has a remote knob so the whole thing doesn't have to be in the way. (I think Curt makes one as well, but knob is way bigger). It works. I didn't use it enough to give you a big review of it.
    No pics, sorry.

As for travel trailers, someone mentioned Rockwood Geo Pro. It fits your weight and size requirements. I looks great, and has a lot of little (and big) features that many others don't come with.
We have a Flagstaff E-pro, basically the same trailer as Rockwood, except decals/color scheme.
    IMG_20210520_56677.jpg

When we were looking for ours, we came across Keystone Bullet. Also very nice trailer. It was a little lighter, didn't have a slide out, but had a proper sink in the toilet

Good morning all! Hot dry weather finally got me off my ass after work to start prepping my deck to restain. Been a few years and it's been looking pretty crappy. Power washed it and working on sanding it now. Want to get that project done so I don't have to spend part of my summer working on it.

So I had my first encounter with a (karen) yesterday. Pulled into a parking lot had my blinker on to turn left into a parking spot. This dumb dumb tried to drive in front of me while I was pulling into the parking spot. All I did was raise my hand like why?!. She then stops behind my truck and gets out to start yelling at me. I laughed it off and said ok Karen it's all ok now you can go.

Thinking to myself like what the f*ck is wrong with people and their thinking.

Unfortunate for you. Sadly, it will likely not be your last encounter. They are everywhere and growing by the day.

    @HomerTaco has a 1" body lift installed.

I'm looking at the fastway and their drop if it is compatible with their light duty version.
Otherwise blue ox is what I'm looking at as well.
Any idea what the difference is between trunnion and round bar? What the benefits of either are?

I've looked at a few. I found a pretty local left over Coleman Apex nano that looks nice and is priced decent.

I've so been looking at redarc because of the remote.

    Thanks for the response Seb.
