Surprised this hasn’t come up yet: (Silverton voting to ban OHV’s within city limits, effective June 20th).

 

OHV in this case I assume refers to side by sides? So side by sides cant drive in town?

 

A subtle way to get rid of more Texans and other dumb ass out-of-State recreational area wreckers. JMO.

 

In theory, I dont have a problem with side by sides not being on the road. But, I also dont like the idea of implementing restrictions like this. That slope could get slippery pretty quickly.

As of earlier this year, OHV are illegal on all Colorado roads unless there's a specific local exception:

Depending on how you look at it, Silverton isn't making a new restriction so much as they're removing an exception. Same end result, though.

 

MOAB also did something similar. I know Fairplay area it has been illegal to drive OHV on CO roads for a least a decade so not sure where this "earlier this year" law comes in.

 

Pulling this out of the trade thread. @JamesAshton, there's a few threads around about CAI's not being worth the money. Specifically oiled filters causing the MAF to get wacky. Can't find them off hand but I do know there is one with some pretty good testing and all in all you're just paying for sound. I have the aFe pro dry filter in mine like I'm sure others do (2nd go around since before leaving Alaska I had the dealer change the fluids and they mistakenly replaced the air filter) it's easy to clean and worth the $40 bucks or so

 

Besides the fact that the OEM airbox IS a cold air intake through the inner fender, whereas most "CAI" people "want" are hot air intakes from the engine bay with the exposed conical filter.

 

But the factory one doesnt come with a cool sticker to put on the back windshield.
