Well I did replace the spark plugs about 2 months ago. Then i replaced the boots for three of them shortly after (since thats all that came with the replacement kit) So i guess I should try replacing the boots that are on the coils? Or replace the coils all together? Last i tested them they were within limits...but im no professional. It is weird that it is now saying a cylinder 3 misfire. After i replaced the boots for the right side engine cylinders, the "cylinder 6 misfire" was no more and the hesitation went away temporarily. It is now back, but with another cylinder misfire error code. My only problem with it being just the boots or the spark plugs is that the "tps" error showed up as well. But i guess replacing the spark plugs is easier than the "tps", as are the boots/coils.

I don't understand why your wires didn't come with new boots attached already. You should have gotten one wire with two boots for every cylinder, one on the plug and one on the coil. What gives?

I duno man, maybe it was the kit i bought. All i know is it had three wires, and three boots...each wire led from the coil to the coinciding plug on the other side. No boots to replace to ones on the coils. I thought it was weird as well...

I have the same delayed responce when hitting the gas. 2009 4wd 4door tacoma 4.0. I have a S/C with new plugs, fuel pump and fuel filter. No "check eng" lights or anything. This only happens about 40percent of the time. Anyone?

had similar issue on 04 tacoma 2.7, replaced a bunch of stuff, fuel filter, cleaned tack filter, sea foamed, new oem MAF new air filter, plugs, mine had coil packs too, left those alone, finally was just about to take it in and i decided to try some simple things, replaced PCV and bought some iridium plugs $10 bucks a plug and now no problem at all, toyotas are picky about there plugs use good ones
