I’ve run everything from a sealed 8” to twin 10’s to a 12” in a big ported box.

Output wise, the SA12 in a big ported box would Bass Race 135’s average on music on 500 watts. Peaked at 139 on certain bass notes.

The single 8” sealed sounded great, just not enough output to beat down the block. It’s all what you’re after. These days, a single 8 sealed will probably do me just fine.

I understand. My last truck I had a pair of sundown x10"s in a big ported box. I could shake everything in the house from out in the street.Windshield wipers bouncing and loud as hell. I'm done with that also but still like some good bass. Just not willing to fill this truck up with a huge ported box. When I do get my mr marv ported box it will be the same size as the 2 sealed box and fit nicely behind the seats with a side firing port

I was able to fit exactly what you are describing behind all of the stock trim panels :

@Evenflow that's super clean man! I was thinking about doing something similar but with a single seat like that. What seats did you use and any pics of how they are mounted? Very nice!

@Evenflow My next project will be to upgrade the sound system. I've got descent acoustics in the cab, but I'd like a little more umph! I've got 4 Infinity 3-way speakers with an 8" sub in the right rear compartment, a kicker under the drivers seat and an amp under the passenger seat.
