I drove out to LA and back in March, and Texas last summer - don't have to tell me twice!

I'm on board though, heck - there are some quick charges that go from ~15% to ~85% in like 20 minutes, that's supposedly the "sweet spot" for battery longevity?? something like that. So, I mean, I can see pretty easily planning around that, but even still my last day I drove from Pensacola to DC hammer down AIS all day, that wouldn't have been possible with the stops needed for recharging.

That's awesome. Anything building based is booming right now and likely will be for years to come. Sounds like the perfect gig for Maine as well. Commercial is going to continue on an upwards trend for anywhere rural, and residential in Maine is probably on fire as well. People buying or fixing up old camps that need more living space, summer properties are always going to be huge in Maine... good move.

Sweeeeeeet. My father in law owns a construction company that builds those - sunrooms and screenrooms etc.

Cool business, but if you ask me after working with them for a few years o_O if you want a sunroom, stick build it and put in normal windows and sky lights.

Well, I thought is was a good idea but now, after that comment I can see you have clearly lost your mind.

Amen... At some point, I'd like to get back into construction also and get away from just moving mountains of paperwork around! I feel like I'm either a laywer or a babysitter, depending on the day.

Dealing with construction people is a cakewalk compared to dealing with tire people.

Well, I've never been in the tire gig, but if you ever deal with the Northeast Construction Manager for Wal-Mart, let's visit this subject again.

Anyone experienced the registry procedures lately? Was so odd to get there, text a code to a number to get into a virtual line only to be met at the door by armed security for the “drop off” procedure. They’ll process it and send me a link to print out a temp plate to display in the seran wrap sheath they gave me as they mail the permanent plates...

Yeah, fuck those asshats! I have even more distain for them now than ever. They never sent me updated registration or stickers so I had to go online and pay for ‘duplicates’. Assholes didn’t do their job so I get to pay twice.

I ended up buying that 2014 Xterra pro-4x.
Low miles, immaculate condition and the price made it an easy choice.
I’ve always had older vehicles and this is by far the nicest (and oddest) optioned vehicle I’ve had. Heated leather seats, factory infotainment with integrated phone apps, navigation, backup camera, etc. the manual seats, hard plastic and loud road noise remind me that this was a wrangler sales competitor. The factory rear locker engages immediately too. No jawing the steering wheel back and forth to get the rear the align.

From the Maine thread, figured someone might be able to help him out.

    Happy Friday everyone!

In NH I only need to deal with the DMV for our drivers license. We can do it online for like 10 years, then you need an eye exam and a new picture. Mine expires in August of this year, so I need to go and I'll get a Real ID. I'm not looking forward to it.

There is one tucked away behind a pizza shop in Salem, NH. At least there was. Don't know if it's still there. Place was great, never anyone there.

    HAPPY FRIDAY BITCHES.

So, I am in the midst of a calamity.

    1. I've been planning to run the smoker overnight into today for a while now, because we had plans with the wife's family Sunday. So for the longest time I've had my mind set on "need 2 butts. Needs 2, I have one for me and friends and coworkers, and then 1 for the family Sunday, makes sense". Let's now ignore the fact that Sunday plans with the family have always been kinda wishy washy to begin with, and now they're just....not happening.

    2. Because of the above, I put on two pork butts and then realized ----- I have no room for the shank steaks I was going to do o_O oopsies! So those got vac sealed and frozen, will do those next time. Shenanigans.

    3. I started last night around 5:45 butts in heat. 10PM I was almost at the stall (140, was looking for 160 typically) but wanted to shower and get to bed - so I pulled them a smidge early, oven overnight. Woke up this morning around 6:15 and check 'em ..... 180 deg O,O balls. MINIMUM I can get away with is 195, looking for 200. Okay then. Guess I'm working from home for a few hours this morning.

All in all - would recommend, will do again.
