I had my allocation order placed on Jan 3rd, it was delivered on May 14th. I paid MSRP plus the cost to have them tint the windows, $40,677. They didn't have a single Tacoma on the lot that wasn't spoken for, every truck that got delivered including mine was essentially sold the moment it rolled off the trailer. Even the used one that had came in the week before was in the process of being cleaned up to be sold, the day I picked mine up. There wasn't ever going to be any negotiation on price; if I wanted a truck, I was going to be paying sticker.

On a side note, they're struggling so hard with supply issues, I only got one key fob; they're gonna have to mail me another.

Seems to me some people are paying more for Sports and OR than Pro's

If you'll look back 10-12 pages. Some are paying 2K more more for Sports than Pro's.
So I guess I was wrong about getting Pro for $2-$4K more. You can get one for less! :D

Show me!... Based on your info, your comparing it to someone that is overpaying. Anyone can agree to get ripped off. Im talking about fair prices not hugely inflated ones.

Ok, fair enough. A Pro comes fully loaded as standard. Let's just say over the last year of these weird prices during the Plague.
What would you say is a fair price for someone to pay for Sport or OR equipped equal to a Pro?

Well for starters, you cant purchase a Sport or OR or any other non Pro model equipped equally to a Pro... thats why Tacos come in 6 flavors. However, a fully loaded OR (closest to a Pro) is roughly @ $45-46K. Which best prices I've seen is the $41k-43K range and best prices for a pro I've seen $48k-50k in these Carona times.

There's also just a lot less customization options available for the Pro. Ignoring the accessories section, there's 1 cab/bed combo, no package options, and a choice of either manual/auto transmission. So MSRP before accessories of $44k or $47k. You can take a Sport or Pro and throw the top end package on it and get to $44k before you look at accessories. And then throw on the performance exhaust that comes standard on the pro, and you're at $45k. The accessories that a dealer can throw on can easily add $2-3k. So a Pro that basically comes from the factory in one configuration sans accessories, can be matched by a Sport or OR that's got the top end package, and then it's just a case of accessories that will determine which one's the more expensive.

First time post, but soon to be second tacoma purchase. I've put a $500 deposit down on a 2021 tacoma trd pro with a manual that's coming in June. It originally was going to come with a ton of accessories that added over 2k to it. I asked the dealer to delete all the options except for the bed lighting. (Mud guards, predator step, rubber bed mat, cargo extender, blah blah blah). We agreed at a price of $45,500 before TTL.

I guess I don't really understand when you upgrade a OR or Sport to 44k or 45k why not get a pro? For the same price you also get way better suspension that alone could be 2k-3k? Besides the fact that they are really hard to find obviously. The only thing I could think of is you have a better chance maybe getting money off of those trim levels, but currently I doubt it would be that much in the current state of things.

This is obviously based on a manual transmission pro and not automatic which would be more, I just personally think it would be better in manual. Of course everyone likes what they like, and if you won't use the pro for how it's built for there is not a whole lot of point.

@Andale26 one could essentially make an 7568 into a long bed pro minus the "look at me" badging & grill (that so many put on other levels).

While a 2020 and not a 2021. But a Trd Pro Auto bought during Corona times. Exactly inline with my original statement. :boink:
    Paid $3,500 under MSRP. Satisfied?

2020 does make a difference since we are in 2021 and good luck finding a 2020 model today... additionally, that pic only shows this to be a 2020 4x4 Army Green Tacoma. Which puts me exactly in line with my original objection. So I guess thats a... no not satisfied :boink:
