Shop Time w/T.W. Friends

I know those farmers too well. They are always in this store too. We have another little store in town my kids go to school in. Its the only gas station in town and local as well. Its called the "Tiger Paw" (School mascot is Tigers). Been there since i was a kid going to school there. Not as much charm as "Honk n' Holler" though, but we are always in there as well.

 

I was just bitching about exp metal the other day. $45 in March, now its $75 for me too.

DOM is worse. And dont get me started on pipe.

 

Ever wondered how to pull a vacuum on a quartz ampoule? Probably not but here you go anyway.

Our vacuum pump equipment is on a cart we roll over to whichever station we need it at, and you splice a small tube on connecting the pump to the area between the 2 walls of the ampoule. When it pulls a low enough vacuum you heat up the small tube until it closes itself off.
