don’t forget the propaganda I already mentioned:

cheaper insurance rates + easier dealing with insurance claims (cameras)

self driving (kinda of a big one ? welcome to the future old man). Impress ur broke ass friends with summon mode in the Home Depot parking lot. Car picks you up. I’m so Cool. Also when driving “tired”:drunk: car avoids accidents and deer and other shitty subpar EV truck brands on the road getting u home safely

and.... I don’t know , built in ramp means I don’t have to add boards to load my moto in the bed . Ya seems kind of revolutionary. Tail
Gate ? That’s been around for like 1000 years dude.

True , it’s pretty comparable to what other Car brands offer for their self driving.

Oh wait no. No one is even remotely close to that in reality. Yes yes I know . I saw the super bowl commercial with will and the grand reveals from Ford Audi bmw and others showcasing all of the new tech (well, if by new you mean directly plagiarized from Tesla’s play book 10 years ago..... oh you put a giant screen in the middle ? And no way over the air updates)

Ya no it’s all gonna happen real soon here for Toyota , Ford and the rest. Soon ...

Ford has it on this as an option. BlueCruise.

I’m just sayin. It’s not looking too hot for the competition.
It’s like back when android came out with phones and tablets. Maybe not Apple “quality “ but it’s all good. They are a bit cheaper so why not. But this ? More money and crappy ? Why ? Got that good ol fashion truck look ..... uh ok. That’s the only “Pro”. ?

I don’t know did I fall asleep for part of the great “announcement”?

That's just to appeal to current Ford truck buyers. I don't fall for it. BUt it's loyal buyers will go for it. RIVIAN's front is the only thing I don't like (The Lightening's vertical lights look better) and I like the old school look of the Alpha Wolf. I see a redesign (obviously) of the Tacoma's front end at minimum.

The commercial Lightning is cheaper than a comparable gas work truck. This is a stripper XL. Only options are crewcab and 4x4 which all Lightnings will be. Base 3.3 engine with 0 upgrades.

It does look much better than the cyber. I’ve seen the rivian in person and on the freeway. It’s much closer looking to a Tacoma size/feel. One thing that might not come across in pictures is just how small the bed looked. It seemed like the smallest bed I have seen on a midsize truck. It’s like a Subaru Outback “box”. Everything else about it was very nice. Also was fast as a bullet on the freeway when I saw it accelerating

I’d take it just for the tank turn (no diffs) but the price is a lot ...if it’s 50k sold !

The XLT that I posted is a crew cab and $10k less.

Good point about the bed. They call the "Adventure Vehicles" not work trucks.

Were you able to get a price on the 300 mile battery pack upgrade cost on any of the models through the confiscator?

Somewhere along the way, I read/saw that it's like $10k for the battery upgrade.

Not really a straight comparison again. This is a BASE model XLT. Only upgrades are crewcab, 4X4 and 2.7 ecoboost. This is less standard equipment than the lighting and the lighting will be cheaper with rebate. Again in this case you come out ahead with the Lighting.

The price is so close (47 vs 52 and not factoring in rebate) it isn't a determining factor. Option the XLT to match options in Lightning and XLT is more expensive again.

I don't think you can configure one yet. So I'm not sure. More just showing the Lightning is priced right in line with the rest of the line up apples to apples.

230mi range is the killer on the cheaper model. That's probably near perfect conditions too.

The AWD Sienna hybrid is available now. The announcement is just for the 2022 adventure model. AWD hybrid systems are available in RAV4, Vensa, Highlander and Sienna. The RAV4 Prime is the plugin version with over 300hp and the only Toyota that can out accelerate it is the Supra!
