How many miles on your 2nd Gen?

Creeping up on 51,000 miles. A baby compared to most in here.

Goals right here. Shooting for a half million myself.

At 198.xxx, you are coming onto the 2nd 100 Kmile maintenance schedule.

Last October, I did all the 100 Kmile maintenance. Not a big issue, just need to get your hands a little dirty....maybe a skinned knuckle or 2. Also replaced all U-joints and Carrier Bearing.

 

Toyota is notorious for the door locks. It's not too serious but it's one of the more annoying problems to have for sure.

 

I've got 332,637 on my 2007... I bought it in 2010 and have done approx 280k of those. I'm doing the clutch this weekend, 99% sure its the original clutch.

 

214,000 on my 2007. Other than routine stuff like brakes, batteries, belts, fluids and tires the only other part replaced was the alternator at about 190,000.

 

same only replaced the alternator at 200k-ish

 

I have an 06 with 85,407 miles. Basic maintenance and new rear leaves, but I think that was a recall.

 

2014 here, just turned 103,000. Only had to replace the shocks, one set of tires, and a battery.

 

2009, almost at 85k. Drives like brand new though

Hi all. So close to finally getting my first Tacoma. Been a struggle in this market, but I have a line on a 2013 4d 6ft 4L V6 with 149,000 miles for 23k.

Truck looks to be in great shape, and well maintained (has all records for routine maintenance). Minimal rust from what I can see (2 pics below; I'm shopping remotely from a rust state). My buddy test drove it yesterday and said it was solid.

Two questions: I know the used car market is still expensive, but does this seem like a fair deal? Given the milage (which I think is not too high for a taco).

I got a 2011 DCSB just hit 135,000 on Saturday

 

2010 AC. 63,000. But those are island miles.

 

That frame rail has been freshly spray painted over, just fyi.

 

Yeah I noticed that. I specifically had my buddy the drive it look for rust issues or corrosion. And he said it was overall solid. I would have the seller get a proper inspection before I bought it. I wanted to buy from CO or south where there is zero rust but been tough to find a DCLB with reasonable miles...

 

Fueled up our 2005 yesterday @ 108,655 miles. Just getting broken in....

69K on our '13 DCSB OR 4WD.

 

Update to my earlier post from 15 months ago. I'm up to 227,000 now. Still nothing major, but I did recently pay for the most expensive parts replacement. After 15 years the headlights were looking pretty rough. I'd polished them a couple of times, but it was time for new ones. Total cost was about $500. It wasn't something that HAD to be done, but it sure looks better, and I can see better at night.

 

2007 with 243XXX

 

2015 with 220k so far zero issues. just do your oil changes and maintaince and you should be good.
