Thanks. Sounds like not hardened. Though dies can like those can deform from round stock even if hardened.

Mine just arrived, haven't really inspected it, but looks to be if decent quality for the price. I'm hoping it's not pot metal. If I get really bored I might have to draw one up a machine out of aluminum...

How often do they go out of stock? Seemed like they were before?

I don’t know, but I know I’ve been waiting awhile for them to come back.

I got mine about like yours, and then painted them. You can see a bit of grime under the paint in this photo. Bushings went in easily.

Sweet. The Pros are pretty potent. I really like mine.

I am curious whether the pods you got came with clear lenses (SAE Driving?) on them or if they came with the selective yellow (SAE Fog) lenses mounted.

I got pods with the 4500K emitters with selective yellow fog optics (I think the same as what you have), and then they also gave me clear spot, flood, and combo optics.

I had the choice of 4500K or 6000K on the emiters (regardless of optics), and opted for the warmer light, which I'd want even if I end up using the clear optics.

I am torn between this one:

    https://yeswelder.com/products/cut-55ds

And an open box Primeweld cut60 for $160 more. Have a hard time justifying the cost for something used wayyyyy less than my welder.

Yeah I was leaning that way after you pointed me in that direction, but I found out Primeweld is 20 mins from me and have a 3 year warranty.

    Oh interesting.
Well imo 55 amps is plenty for any of the cutting i'll be doing (up to 3/8" I believe). So going to a 60 amp unit wouldn't yield much more benefit. them being close to you and all is definitely nice though!

I've had good experiences with Eastwood products as well. Their plasma worked great.

I think that's the inner struggle I have. The yeswelder does more thickness than I'd ever need but the proximity to primeweld and getting their 60 amp for $175 under MSRP PLUS being capable to slap into a plasma table one day (like very far in the future lol) sounds appealing. Plus local pickup and putting it in the garage vs a giant package getting delivered is a huge benefit too for.... reasons.

Yeah I have been super happy with all my eastwood stuff so far. Got a bunch of specialty tools from them, and they have brick and mortar stores not far from me.

It's actually wayyy smaller than you think. Mine showed up in a box the size of a small suitcase
