    Gents and ladies,

I have a 2021 Taco. My lift is trickling in because of COVID b.s. I have a BP-51 kit coming in, icon upper control arms and spider trax 1.25” spacers on the stock rims. The local tire company tells me I can fit 285/75/16 tires on it. I’m not sure if I can because performance and NO RUBBING is my ultimate goal, no chop, nothing. Just a hunter that wants to be able to bomb roads and do it smoothly. Should I be conservative and get a 285/70/16 (the conservative route?, or go with 285/75/16 and hope it’s all good. I want as much tire as possible without rubbing. Thanks ahead of time!

I understand, and I’ll do a chop if I ABSOLUTELY have to, but I don’t want to go there. Small town in NM desert and shitty lease roads, washboard and ruts here. Wanna bomb it all!

Your enthusiasm outweighs your clearance. Every truck is different. I would expect to rub, and if you don't it's a damn miracle

I have similar suspension set up (no UCA) 265/70/17 and run the same style roads. Zero issues. I think it would be 265/70/16? Not sure. Give it a look. That 285 stuff is not needed at all honestly. Iv ran 285s on Tacoma’s sure. But older I get more I realize it’s 95% looks

Cmc, pinch weld done as well if you wanna fit 285s. Otherwise keep your stock tire size and buy something more agreasive or go skinny

    255/75R17 is where it’s at.

The 255 that was posted, or the 265/75 is realistic. You said you don’t want to cut or smash or bang anything around. Those are things that need to happen for 285s
