What a waste of time. Do not work with Darcars Toyota of Silver Spring, MD, they are a bunch of crooks.

I put a $500 deposit on a Off-Road AG back in Feb and it was being delivered early June. I was originally quoted $1,100 below invoice but now they are going to charge me MSRP. I told them I don't want the truck anymore and now working with another dealer.

Yeah, you are correct about the Army green being a Pro exclusive color (You scored an A+ with a gold star sticker!) The no LB for the pro in my book is a disadvantage and we all know the Pro only has the SB option (nothing new there). Unfortunate tho, your main point still lacks the "prove me otherwise" factor & sounds like a charming fairytale from long long ago in 2020.

Touche! But seriously though, let me know if you find a Pro at that 2020 price point you showed earlier I would be all over it! (preferably in cement!) I'll bring the whiskey! Salud!

Currently Pro's are not offered in Cement. Nor will they ever be according to Toyota policy, Sorry. The 2020 price point I elaborated on is accurate. But I am truly looking forward to the Whiskey!

I truly hope you are able to find something even close to that. At this point, just locating the truck you want is difficult enough.

My mistake (this is exactly like speaking to my wife! lol), lets try this again...find me a current year "2021" Pro in MAGNETIC GRAY METALLIC for the same accurate price point that you found your no longer manufactured "2020" model for. I still say that don't exist in this current market. Maybe once they stop selling the 21's and the 22's start to roll out? Either way, I'll have the Whiskey waiting for ya!! Hope you like um neat and proper!

I was contacted by a dealership yesterday WHO originally quoted 35 hundred over sticker for a 2021 PRO AT, then after being on the list for 4 months told me he couldn’t promise that price anymore, this was about a month ago, the new price was 5 to 10 grand over sticker due to production shortages, I backed out, and today I’m happy with my 2021 Off Road

Hi, new here. Quick question. Is anyone having their build orders cancelled due to chip shortage? I've had one dealer tell me this, another dealer saying it's no problem to order and another dealer saying i can order now but it will probably end up being a 2022 model year build so he can't quote me a price. I'm looking for a dclb OR. Thanks for any input, I'm in Michigan if it matters.

Very common scenario right now unfortunately hence the point I was trying to make to my buddy above. Congrats on the OR though! You mind sharing more details on your 21' OR? Price, packages extras, location?

Thanks for the quick response. Another dealer found one in their allotment so I put a deposit on it. Should be delivered mid July. DCLB OR led lights tech package bed mat sill protecter all weather floor mats. About $41,000 and should be around $43,750 out the door.

I was responding to "RobDee" the post above yours. But to answer your questions, yes with all thats going on (Covid/Chip shortage and so on) a lot of dealers are taking advantage of the high demand/low supply situation and are asking above MSRP prices especially on Pro/OR and Sports models. You can still find deals but nowhere near what they used to be. Depending on the dealer your working with you might or might not get what they are promising. Make sure to get it in writing so that a dealer cant back out from agreed upon price especially if you put down a deposit. Sounds like you've found a nice one! I'm also in the market for a DCLB OR but most likely will wait until the 22's come out since I'm not in a hurry to buy.

About a month ago, I was looking at an MGM Pro that's actually on the dealer's lot and at the time, they wanted to add $4k above msrp. I told them drop their asking price $5k and they might have a deal. They told me no they think they can get what they're asking. I just checked, it's still on their lot but now they're asking $13k over msrp. Idiots!!! $63k for a pro is ridiculous!

    A few.
Tell them what they can do with that thing. Of course thats peanuts of a markup compared the dealer I saw online marking up Ram TRXs $50,000 over msrp.

I'm telling ya! It's a sellers market right now but thats straight up greed! You have to be someone very special to drop 63k on a pro! :der:

$50k over msrp?!? WTH? Who do they think is going to pay that? TRXs are cool but unless someone wins the Powerball, nobody is ever going to pay that.

The funny thing is that in today's market, if they were being reasonable, they could sell it easily but it's been on their lot for over 6 weeks and they're holding out to make that one big sale. Good luck - I'll never do business with them.

I guess I must have been lucky with my deal on a trd pro then idk. Pretty crazy what has been going on. There is a new trx at the local dealer that's been there for a few days I might see what ridiculous price they are asking for, been there for over a week at least.

Be interesting to see what they want. I think in today's market anything that's sitting on a dealer's lot as far as Tacomas and TRXs is definitely overpriced. With so many people looking, if not overpriced, it would already be gone. I have a couple of buddies waiting on TRXs and they've been waiting for 5-6 months and it might be a couple more before they get one. CRAZY!
