Any luck with finding those sockets? If I buy MESO's map lights, do they come with their own sockets? I called the local Toyota dealer and basically I would have to purchase the entire assembly for $490 to get those sockets.

Still looking for them, sorry. I'm starting to think that the Meso part plugged into the original socket and I just misremembered.

You would think that if you had the diameter a generic T10 twist socket would work. Even if it took a little bit of kludging, a 3 dollar part from Napa beats 500 bucks from the dealer any day.

Yea, I was just looking at some videos installing the MESO map lights and they used the original socket. Good information to know! T10 twist socket. That should work, I just didn't know how to look it up. Thank you!

Do the MESO lights have the resistor you mentioned in an earlier post?

I know there is a member on here that has a lot of electrical knowledge on the third gen I think it is @caribe makaira (forgive me if I tagged you incorrectly).

They do. There is a thread on here that shows his development of the maps and domes. His stuff is good.

I'm pretty sure I have the stock maps and dome, too. I'll check later today.

I have MESO map and dome lights too.

All you remove is the bulb and plug his LED lights into the OEM plug.

Do you have any local junk yards that you could try and pull those plugs?

Yea, there are some around here. Probably can't get to that until next weekend though.
