I was lucky, no rain! Didn’t even bother pitching the tent, it was warm enough to just use the hammock and a blanket!

What do you do out there camping in the same spot for a few nights in a row?
I'm really big into hiking/camping/outdoors, but I'm much more of a hiker than a camper. But, I am trying to allow myself to relax and enjoy just staying put for more than one night. It's not easy for me lol.

I fish, canoe/kayak, explore(mostly in the truck, but also on foot), and RELAX. I find it peaceful being out of cell coverage with mostly just sounds of nature. I can sit in front of the campfire for a couple of hours in the morning and evening. My mind is always in a better place after a few days of camping.

That rig is amazing. Do you need rear stabilizers on that when it's unhooked from the truck?

    Thank you sir!

Rear stabilizers were on the list when the trailer was being built but didn't want to add them unless it was necessary. After getting everything assembled, it is surprisingly stable. There is a little play in the tongue jack mount which will allow the trailer to sway slightly. Other than that, it's solid. With the trailer level, I (190 lbs) can jump around on the tailgate and it has no signs of lifting the front. I'm always the one to setup/takedown the tent and the cooler lives on the tailgate when we are setup preventing any extra weight to be added to the rear such as people using it as a bench. Friend of mine is a welding teacher at a local technical school and we collaborated ideas on the trailer build. It was his idea to move the "axle" further back to add more tongue weight which I think helped a lot with the stability.

This was a school project for the kids. I paid for materials and made a nice donation to the school and the kids did the rest. They did a great job and i'm very happy with the way it turned out!

Haha! It's a tank for sure but I wouldn't have it any other way! This trailer was built to replace my store bought 4x8 trailer that is literally falling apart. I wanted something that would hold up for a long time.
Capable of carrying the tent around, hauling motorcycles and making runs to the hardware store for supplies. Overbuilt? Absolutely. :)

Just spent 28 days on the road from Florida to South Dakota chasing turkeys this spring.. Slept in my truck every one of those nights,, and never paid for a parking spot :D..

Got home and my little girls has been begging to go camp in the truck, so we drove down to the sand bar.. It was a great time, but my setup is definitely more comfortable with one person.. Two people and a 100lb dog is pushing it!
