It's not so funny when you have seat warmers though!

Looks almost identical to my Jackery, probably from the same factory... works for us so far no issue. With no solar it'll run the fridge for about 3 days.

Yea I wanted something to run a few things. I doubt I'd ever get an ARB fridge but if I did I wanted something that it could run off of instead of hardwiring

I used to live in Washington state. I had a jeep back then and wheeled constantly. Snow was a ton of fun. My favorite was snow wheeling at night.

For what it’s worth my most recent truck was purchased at 130k

Everything else I’ve had was 200+
89 v6 bought at 225k sold still running like a sewing machine at 280k
97 4runner bought with 202k still in my family at almost 300k
87 pickup 250k I rebuilt this one for shits and giggles and a turbo that never happened ran fine

and my pops has a 02 double cab with 330k.
200k is a break in period for them thangs

So like someone bought it, drove it home, parked it in the garage & forgot about it or even passed on. Then one day you happen to walk by, the door flings open & some Lady starts bellerin’ at you, “I want this thing outta my garage NOW” sorta thing then.

I completely understand that train of thought. Maintenance records mean a lot, that 3.4 is a beast of a motor. timing belt and plugs/coil packs are the only things my pops has ever done and I drove it off and on while a youngin... not the nicest to it. I guess the question is what you want to do with it.. if you plan on upgrading I wouldn’t mind looking for 200k+ but if you just want a super mild and clean 1st gen I’d keep looking for that unicorn

Good luck either way! I plan on inheriting that 02

I dunno. You can take the Man outta the First Gen. but you can’t take the First Gen. outta the Man.

Doesnt hurt to ask! Just follow them into whatever store they are going too after they park and you drop down to inspect the frame!

They really are super rare in <150k condition it’s crazy, that 02 sparked my love/obsession for Toyota/Lexus, you would think there is gold in the frames. I want a 80/100 series next
