    Morning.
Still can’t believe I’m retired,,,,,, so far......

So,,,, I don’t see any leaks from the toilet so today I cut the retaining bolts and caulk around the base.
Never new it was actually required...

So I have to mow the lawn again. Just did it last week.
After that I’ll start patching a few bare spots here and there.
Maybe my new neighbors might take my suggestion and split the cost of doing the
15 feet of grass that won’t grow along the length of our roadside. Ever since they took the ditches out
And put curbing the grass won’t grow. They recycled the garbage soil and I had to go behind them and yank branches out of it. I complained, they said to bad. It is really not my property but looks like shit.

I have the same issue.. ours is migrated roadbed fill, no real soil. won't grow anything but a few weeds. Plus, our county will spray it once a year, making it worse. I've asked them to NOT spray it, since I mow it.. no change. SOP. :annoyed:

    Morning Folks. Welcome to Friday.
Green House is coming along nicely Mark. Is your contractor also putting in shelving or tables to put plants on? It will be nice when it is done.

How do you like retirement so far Mike? It's nice doing things at your own pace and taking a break if you want. It is a less regimented life style. Enjoy.

The on going repack of TV stations is interesting. Quite a few stations have chosen to cease operations instead of changing frequencies. Some stations are running on the new assigned frequencies but at a reduces power output and will continue at the lower power. In a lot of cases the TV stations are owned by the cable TV carrier company. The solution to charging for Over The Air signals is to change the current legislation. I believe this would be an easy thing to accomplish since the Cell Companies have had the FCC do this repack to free up bandwidth for 5G signals. It is amazing what money can do if you give it to the right people.

Off to my sisters beach home today to do some electrical work and landscaping work. At least I can pitch fork mulch into a wheelbarrow. Ordered a new carb for the rototiller on Wednesday. Cost was less than $18 even with the $3 overnight fee. Replaced the carb, fuel lines, filter and sparkplug. Tiller started right up and ran strong.

Have a great weekend everyone. I everything goes well I am going to a Car Show in Ocean City Maryland one day this weekend.

I cut the cord a couple months ago. Put up a medium size directional yagi and a pre-amp and am able to pick up between 54 and 77 OTA stations.
My whole intent was to be able to get stations from Ct.
Unfortunately, due to my location, I am only able to pick up one station in New Haven and none of the others.
The rest of the stations are in New York or Jersey off the back of the antenna and I have no interest in these.
They are further away as the crow flies, but overpower the ct stations which have terrain in the way.

Along with Netflix , Samsung TV and Amazon TV, no need for much more and I'm saving $100 bucks a month.

That said, I do miss my local channels and one or two news networks, but I can watch those online.

Have you tried a ROKU receiver (one time fee and no subscription)? They are cheep and we get all four of our local stations on it, they plug into a USB port on your TV. They also have other options - some free some subscription - you choose or not. Not sure what your area will get as it appears different parts of the country get different coverage, I think (it has been awhile) you can go on tehir site and see what your area offers through them.
