Take 281 north, hang a right at 290, and come in to Austin that way.

When your blood pressure returns to normal because of how some of the idiots behave, you'll realize that 35 is the lesser of two evils.

I agree, this is a much prettier drive but the traffic in dripping springs sucks. other than that, i think it beats 35

It's almost not really comparable, 2 different tyles of fuels... you definitely can't go wrong with RT grill, after all my research I was going to get a RT grill, the only reason I didn't was the cost, I picked a larger grill to fit a full size brisket in March with really great reviews for $609, holy crap they went up on it https://www.amazon.com/dp/B088B9W59G/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_fabc_SDTMHZMY25ZG4HMX1VTX?_encoding=UTF8
(There 4 different configuration of that same internals of that grill, Reviews from HD, Tractor Supply, Amazon etc)
So after I bought my grill, this guy @Oldie2007 posts up that link for that grill, lol I don't think you can go wrong either way.

So the RT is pellet grill at lower temps, smoke operates under 200* and this is charcoal at min 225*

I'm sure you read/researched @Oldie2007 do you think you can add pellets without increasing the temperature set at the lowest setting(225*)?

130 is what I take because I'm SE of SA, 85mph speed limits in the south portions, but many times folks are traveling 100+

10 & 130. Not the prettiest, but once of 10 it's flat lonely until Austin.

I didn't really find anything I cook that's lower than 225, but I got the extra warming racks. Just got back from the Rx and store, so I haven't even opened it or a beer yet!

I really wanted the charcoal or wood vs. the pellets, that's about the only reason. For the price, this fits what I want to do perfectly. Apparently, I am the Guinea pig, as not even the old guys thread has any experience with it. ReqTec is just too much for me $$ wise. Pop Mech, Family Handyman, and all the other reviews I found give good marks.

Ah! This doesn't require that to make the smoke.
