Yes, but I doubt you will need it yourself. It's nice to have a multiprocess machine but honestly I don't use it much for anything but aluminum and exhaust/intake piping.

 

I didn't even think about other tools for the circuit; just went with the option so I can have a welder in the garage.

Ok; I did see Hobart's multiprocess and it runs more than double.

No justifying the purchase then really by the sound of it.

well... if you're welding at a minimum you're gonna be running grinders and eventually work your way up to big saws

 

I'll mig for aluminized or mild, but stainless and titanium have to stay that way to avoid oxidation and weird cracking from heat cycling.

School I'll be going to does MIG and TIG, and will touch on steel, carbon steel, and aluminum, so I'll learn about all that stuff later.

At this moment it's just foreign.

It's cool shit. Hopefully they go over fitting and heat cycling, that's some of the most annoying shit when you're starting out. Wondering why your shit came out crooked when you're sure you had it clamped and measured right.

Yeah I saw that in another thread as well...mentioned how compact it is.

I prefer the Hobart I mentioned as with anything else such as guns, etc., nut up and pay now versus wasting money on something that has limitations.

They've got big ass Lincoln and Miller welders that I saw when I toured the school.

 

ironically i threw the cherry bombs on to make the car less annoying. With a full straight exhaust it had migraine inducing levels of drone at any speed. Now it's a pleasant bumble

that much HP in an awd hot hatch never fails to make me smile. Ever now and then my buddy's like "so, you wanna drive it?" and the answer is always hell yes
