I've only ever used TIG for stainless steel and I suck ballz at it. For aluminum I just change out the gas bottle and use a spool gun attachment on the MIG welder and weld just fine

I'm down, it's been a long time since I played with a good group.

playing with randos can be funny but generally I just ride along while the whole team loses because I'm the only one playing the objective while everyone else pretends its team deathmatch

Fucking heard that. I’ve haven’t playing consistently in 6 months cause little dude but I still got a gunny.

I typically just play Search and Destroy due to me being a pub star in that but I’m always game to have some fun with some good people.

@Kwikvette when I took the course at the trade school we started with oxy/acet welding to learn puddle control, then went to stick, TIG, and then finally MIG. I think they really wanted us to get puddle control and penetration before we went to mig

I like S&D and headquarters. I used to play a ton on the original MW. It's crazy to think that it's been almost 15 years since that game came out and that era started.

I wish I could answer that, I am still looking for one my self. I need something decent to work on the truck and 4runner but not looking for something industrial grade.

We have a super cheap lotus in the shared shop and I've cut up to 1/4 single pass without worrying about my speed. I have no doubt it could do more if someone slowed down.

I've been eyeing this one for a while too...

the thing about the HF one is that a couple years down the road if it takes a shit there is still some form of local support and supply

The HF definitely has an advantage with support, especially with the repair plans they offer. The lotos is good for what it is, and I haven't had to fix it much (just a bad switch and a air valve stuck shit once). Consumables are generic and plentiful, but yeah with heavy use I bet it would be a liability
