Working on boat docks and boat lifts. Was told I would make close to my full year salary in a few months. Had to give it a shot.

Shitbox got a little bit of a makeover this summer. Found a Trail Gear bumper for cheap in Arkansas and some new used wheels. I was planning on going with the 255/85/17 Mickey Thompson Baja Boss AT but there lead time was too far out. Ended up going with the Kenda Klever RT 33x10.5r17. I've been happy with them so far but really haven't had a chance to test them offroad. The one time I did air them down they felt softer compared to the ST Maxx I had previously. I just barely rub the frame at full lock. I don't actually notice it but there are witness marks on the frame.

    PXL_20210926_215816090.jpg

Also put in some Fox DSCs and I'm pretty disappointed in where Fox wants the resis mounted. It would leave them exposed to being smashed into rocks. I tucked them in behind my skid plate and zip tied them in to the crossmember. Works well enough for now. Ordered through Accutune and I think they could have added a bit more rebound to there "custom tune". The adjusters definitely make a difference I'm just usually too lazy to get out and adjust them for a certain terrain. PXL_20210522_221845738.jpg

I went back to the 5psi spring for the wastegate and the truck is definitely happier with that shitty flex pipe I removed awhile ago. I'm not seeing 1500° anymore climbing long hills. I do have a leak at the wastegate somewhere I think it's another crack. Replaced the gaskets and it helped some but not all. Hoping to get the treadstone cast manifold this winter and be done with the log manifold.

With the new tires on I noticed some other vibration. One of them was a bent driveshaft from a few years ago. It's got about a 1/4 of runout. The other vibration I have sounds like a wheel bearing but I'm not seeing any significant difference in temps between the spindles. So I guess I just wait until it gets worse. The transmission is also leaking around the sandwich plate so that needs to come out and I might rebuild it while it's apart.

600lb is what they recommended. Coming from 882 that I think are 500lbs the seem fine.

Gotcha. Mine came with 600s, but weren't enough for my weight

Not as profitable as I'd hoped. Glad to be back in Idaho and started working at a crane company today.

Thanks! The bronze is growing on me. Took me some getting used to.

Seems to be enough for me. I get the the amount of lift I'm after at least.

Not too much going on with this turd lately. Replaced a front wheel bearing in hopes that was the cause of my vibration but it wasn't. I hate just guessing at problems. Overall for the amount of miles I put on her, she did pretty well. I don't think the bed falling apart has gotten any worse and the crack repair to the axle still seem to be holding. I'm hoping the drop in mpg is due to a lot of 80mph driving and not a sign of a tired engine.

Finally went ahead and ordered this. The main piece is from oshcut and the smaller from sendcutsend. SCS was received a day sooner.

The two companies have different tooling. SCS was unable to bend something as long as the carrier and oshcut was unable to bend the brackets because they interfere with the press finger. They show a 3d animation of the parts being bent which is kind of cool. SCS is the more affordable route.

I'm always anxious that I measured something wrong and just tossed money in the can but so far this is looking pretty good!

I don't recall off the top of my head. Free shipping is a pretty big factor though.

Stoked on how this is turning out. Needs a few small tweaks to the CAD file to be perfect.
