You guys know the story, bigger tires (265/70R17) and they rub very slightly. Considering getting an alignment to help with this. For those of you that have stock UCAs and no lift, were you able to get more caster with an alignment? And if so, what caster did you shoot for?

I can usually get 0.5 more caster without sacrificing camber.

Just request max caster, and camber positive but closer to zero.

I don’t think so, I have rokblokz mud flaps that have a special cutout to accommodate larger tires. From what I can see it just rubs on the square portion of the fender liner that sticks out.

For anyone wondering, I ended up getting 3.2 degrees of caster, and it gained me almost exactly half of inch of clearance between the wheel and the back of the fender well. Probably need to do some minor trimming in the front of the fender well now, but I’d much rather do that than the back.

3.2 Caster is good for stock UCA.

Where or how did he find that much caster with stock arms? All I could get with mine was a paltry 2.2 positive degrees before I bought the camburg arms NOW I have 4.0, zero camber & zero toe in........it drives PERFECTLY plus absolutely no weird tire wear in 15000 miles hell they don't even need to be rotated (but I do) in that many miles

    Front lifted 3"
    Rear 1"
    285-70-17 Yokohama Geolander
    17 x 8.5 zero offset KMC's

Yes mine rub the stock flaps......... but there clearancing themselves hehe

I think the key is that I am at stock height, which makes it easier to get more caster. Before the alignment, I would rub the back of the fender well when the wheel was tucked. That is with just 265/70/17s. I feel like a lot of the people here that claim no rub have never even went over a speed bump with the wheels turned.

That’s the best alignment I’ve seen on stock uca. That being said Imo if you were lifted that would be much more difficult to achieve. Great alignment for stock. Great tech

The guy was super cool, and was quite knowledgeable about Toyota trucks. Even offered to do some more adjustment with the caster to find a happy medium between running the front of the fender vs the back. I decided to just leave the caster at 3.2 because it drives awesome and do some slight trimming in the front of the fender.

It's not set to a value it's set to a range. Every truck is slightly different.

It looks like you have positive camber. Can you visually see that from the front? Can I bother you with posting a pic?

I’ll see if I can’t get a picture later, but according to Toyota around 0.5 degrees of positive camber is ideal for these trucks.
