Going to quote this while making a public announcement after speaking with my attorney yesterday.

First, if you are using our product to make monetary gain while a the same time publishing false or libelous information against us, you will be receiving a cease and desist from my attorney along with a revocation of your license. (section 8, TOS).

There is a clear and distinct difference between honest criticism and verifiably false statements. And if you are making monetary gain off of such First you'll receive a letter, and then it will go further from there.

I hate to have to do this but if your effort is to try to destroy us with false statements while making money of the very product we provided you, you will be legally liable.

Adam you will be the first to receive a retraction / cease letter, after the posts you put out last night.

Toyota cannot void anyones warranty based on a VIN list.
To claim that we are making 8 way map switching to compete with one of our own Pro Tuners is not only false, it's idiotic.

I'm tired of it. I'm not kidding anymore.

Last night was the straw that broke the camels blaming our flasher and making claim that the cost of credits because of an issue with an ECU connector is 1 step to far. Especially when 90+% of "brick" reports are from KD files.

Aha! So THAT's why the dealerships never want to perform the TSB's.... They're worried about breaking the chickenshit connectors!

I'm talking about the ECM connectors not OBD. Particularly the gold plated CAN contacts only get a few wipes before the plating is compromised. Granted it doesn't substantially effect performance, but if there are too many cycles or the contacts get contaminated due to reconnecting a bunch of times it could. The spring force also most likely changes with each cycle too which can eventually make contact resistance go up.

I’ve looked into pricing of connectors to make a custom cable for recovery. They run almost $90 per . The harness itself from a junkyard truck is about $300-$400.

2005 Camry ECUs have the same plugs minus the middle one. Already have a few of those connectors at the house.

To be clear so people don't think I'm trying to be some licensing Nazi.

You have absolutely nothing to worry about unless you're actively trying to defame VF Tuner while making money through VF Tuner

Depends where you are going to get them from, but yeah they aren't cheap. I have a prototype built. I'll build a few and maybe get a batch produced.

For you guys playing with the new map switching tune. If you have ANY questions at all, need some guidance, etc I will be updating a thread on my forum dedicated to helping with that.

It may *look* daunting at first but it over-rides all the OEM crap, especially for the transmission. So there won't be any guessing of which table is being used.

Man, stop here while you can. He has your info, has legal council and you're bound to the TOS you agreed to... I don't think this is an instance you want to have 'the last word' on.

We talked privately and resolved things. Sorry for the BS Matt/everyone else. And to clarify OVTune obviously makes a badass product and other tuners are making some great products as well. Shitposting removed. Back to tuning

I apologized with a big fat credit purchase. Need to get ready for 2022's...

I think we can all agree to hit the reset button and move on.

KDMax feels better to him solely due to the added tip in and better shift points. Same reason my early tunes were better "performing" than the 2.0 files. I just added the flair of drivability most seemed to enjoy. It doesn't actually have more power than the supercharger... That's all in his:
