    @Sig45

    Got the bottom 3' feet of the posts stained for as much protection under ground as possible.

    1st hole dug....15"×33". Frost line in KY is only 15". With about 4" inches of compacted drainage rock in the bottom that still puts me at close to 30" of buried post and concrete. That should be fine from what I have read. Lot's of folks only go down 2' or less.

    On to hole #2 :muscleflexing:

    Brings the ladies in. :humble:

    2nd hole done. This one required a bit more old man strength. About a foot in I hit some decent sized tree roots and about 18" in hit some rock and gravel.

    Nothing the ol' Thunder Persuader 4000 couldn't take care of. :D

    @FlyingWolfe

    And Crystal....I just recently had a new data line dropped by my cable company. They wouldn't bury it until the utilities/services were all marked. I noted and took pictures of all the markings.....though being in this house since it was new and watching it being built I new there was nothing in the area I was digging. :thumbsup:

    10:10, well done sir.
    Meanwhile im stripping and reframing the sunporch wall for a french door and opened this fucking nightmare from the prior owner. If he wasnt already dead id kill him. Power in to the outlet, a power to each switch because why not, a power bypass to who-knows-where, i know where the two switch wires go at least but the bypass.. no idea. Not a single electrical staple, just wires hanging. Will see what doesnt work when I move and rewire it since its right in the middle of where the new door will be. Taking an intermission to meet up with Mark and Mike at 1 and buy lures n’ pizza. Im gonna need the break.

    Posts are in, sqaure, plumb and set in a little over 150 pounds of concrete each.

    Once it cures up I plan to cut the post on the left to the correct height, then to account for the slightly different hole depth and topography, I'll shoot a laser across and trim the right one.
