Once again, I have let work expand to fit the day. I'll season it and play with wifi tomorrow.

Thanks, Ken! Lynn and I will put in work benches when he is done. Lynn's not sure what she wants, yet.

    That looks totally awesome!!!

Good morning everyone! I spent most of yesterday at the Equines For Freedom sporting clays fundraiser as a helper. Great organization - I was the board chair for several years - that provides free equine assisted EMDR therapy for vets and first responders with PTSD. They work totally free to the client - don't even make insurance claims - so fundraising is key.

Our contractor got the greenhouse roof repaired, the replacement skylight in and re-shingled - and also totally re-shingled the tractor garage yesterday. Progress. He was scheduled to assist another contractor next week so we go into a hold pattern until after Memorial Day.

Not sure what I'll do today - probably wash the truck and lay by the pool. I do need to clean off our old grill at some point. Really, I need to replace it....

    Be safe out there!

Morning Mark and all the other porch dwellers.
    Mowed yesterday.
It was horrible. I was coughing and hacking from the pollen and dust.
I actually went and got a n95 mask to wear. First time in 10 years I’ve had to
    Wear something.
Been years since I had to mow 7 days out.
Might be the fertilizer I put down.
Will start spot repairing some areas.
So finally cleaned the inside of the truck from winter.
    4 hours later.
Need to compound the paint and windows then wax but pollen is so heavy
After I washed it and dried it the truck was turning yellow.
Finished the toilet so I hope no leaks for a few years anyway.
    Reinforced the area underneath.
Took the top tool box locks out and re-keyed them (aka pulled and filed and
    Removed pins).
    Still rearranging stuff.
Early bird shopping maybe this am.
Plant a few more flowers maybe.
    So much stuff to do.

Good morning, Mike!! Pollen is bad here, too. Everything is yellow and I'm constantly blowing my nose. Ugh.

    Good Morning Folks.

A very great organization Mark. Thanks for being a part of it. We donate to an Equine program For People with Special Needs near where we live. Our neighbors Grand daughter has an inoperable tumor around her brain stem and it has affected her balance and riding is helping her adjust to it. Great program. Animals do seem to have an affect on people whether it be horses, dogs, cats or just watching wild animals from a distance. Enjoy the pool today, it's supposed to be a scorcher.

Pollen is the worst I have ever had as well Mike. Never had issues until this year and now it's nose running, and sneezing all the time from it. Deb said my truck looks good with a light coat of pollen green over the Magnetic Gray. Now I have to update my allergy list.
Glad you are working on your list of to do's. Remember to have some Mike time in there. Enjoy

Off to Philadelphia with the Son-in-law to keep him occupied while the Daughter sets up for a surprised B-day party for him. Our kitchen cabinets are being built and should be done by mid July but as a way of getting him out of their house I asked him if he could go look at cabinets with me (he's a carpenter) and he said sure sounds great. I am even spring for a hot sausage at a little dump called Johnnies Hots. Love the sausage.

Have a great day folks and be safe.

    There's no clock anymore, Mike!

Good Morning Porchites! Looks like that little Tropical Depression is sitting on us! Might hamper the seasoning a little bit, and truck work, but there will be big wet race cars trying to navigate COTA in the rain on TV, so it's all good. Happy Saturday all.

    Already doing stuff today.

    Ain't science great?

My headlights on my '12 started to fog up in a big way within the last 6 months.
Sooo, I picked up the Sylvania lens restorer kit.
Followed the directions and this is what I ended up with. Lifetime guarantee, but time will tell.

    I approve.

We crewed a hot air balloon flight this morning. On the way out, the 30 foot pine midway down the drive had been looking like it was leaning a bit. It's now leaned. Luckily it fell at an angle where the top just touched the edge of the driveway.

Your headlights look great! I did mine a couple years ago and they still look like new. The secret to keeping them looking new is to apply a UV protectant. I spray Meguiars head light coating on twice a year and it keeps them clear.

I buff mine every 6 months.
But it’s to the point it’s not lasting so buff and coat is in my future

Yellow light covers is common on every vehicle make and model. Has been for as long as they’ve been used. You’d think some regulatory agency would mandate a change in materials to prevent this. It is a safety issue.

But most likely the folks working for those agencies want to protect their rice bowls more than the public.

Just a tip... something retired people may take a little while to figure out... if you fertilize or water grass it grows faster.

There is no real benefit to faster growing grass. It looks the same as slo
Welcome back to sanity. Paying big $ for too many channel surfing opportunities never made sense to me. I've been on an antenna forever, although I did buy a roku box and since my daughter pays for hers we can sign up without any charge at all. So on the antenna we get ABC, NBC, CBS, PBS, and Grit... and with the box we get Netflix, Disney+, Roku channel, and Amazon Prime for no cost because our daughter let's us sign up through her account. If we never had the roku box we'd be fine.

I have to say that Marco Polo on Netflix was worth watching.

    Afternoon all:
Well, I have proof, miracles do happen!:) I have a regular lawnmower that just sits there and hasn't been started or used in years, figured it was just taking up space and if it wouldn't start I would donate it to a neighbor who works on them and let him play with it and either get it running or part it out. Put some gas in it and 8 pulls later it started and is purring like a kitten. If I wanted to use it, it probably never would have started, but it's another one of those things I have just in case I might need it!
At least mouse parts didn't fly all over when I started it, stupid mouse must have had a nest with young ones under the flywheel, that was not good!

Have you ever had a limb pinch the bar? Thought about a pole chain saw trimmer, but the angle of the bar makes me wonder. I have to trim stuff away from the house from time to time. I do it mostly from the roof, just to negate that angle as much as I can. If I cant reach it from there, I'll probably take the entire tree out.

I think Stihl has one thats's adjustable up and down on the pole, so 75° or so, standing back a bit, would put the saw close to level on top of a branch, wouldn't pinch, like an angled top down cut might. IDK. I may see what they have to rent. My pole pruner has a curved saw blade, which works well.. same principal.
