I'm loving this grille. Much better than the OEM mesh one. I still need to print out a new housing/mount for my factory front camera, but other than that this is perfect. Thanks Travis for a great product and great customer service! Now on to the next mods...

Looks awesome thanks for sharing! Nothing better than seeing customers stoked on the grille.

Looking forward to seeing your other mods on the truck and what you 3D print out for your camera mount. There might be some others who are interested as well.

    Travis,

Is it possible to get a dimensional drawing of the middle badge surface? I might have an idea for a new badge.

    Thanks!

I don't have any actual cad files or dimensional drawings on hand of the badge area but the dimensions are about 14.5 by 2.5
If you go off the dimensions of the FJ badge that should give you a pretty good measurement of what fills in/fits that area well.

I'm still working on a vinyl sticker for the grille but the last guy who was designing it for me flaked out. I should have a dimensional drawing sometime in the future when I get around to it. Here's a few customers who have done some custom stuff as well:

An instagramer by @MilkTeacoma also 3d printed his own badge, sure he could refer you his guy who designed and might even have the dimensional drawling you're looking for:

there were really small tabs that I just snapped off with a plier so that it sit flush. Not sure the durability of the adhesive it comes with, hoping the heat might make it adhere better over time. But the letters have a slight curve to them as opposed to the nice and even level surface on your grill, so not every part of the letters make contact 100%. Time will tell.

I unfortunately dont have the time to do it correctly and mount the suggested letters you mention in your post. Which also looks rad as well.

This grill looks great! Is everyone ordering the oem black surround or painting the chrome one?
I just bought a used 2016 TRD sport and the first thing I did was buy a used oem 2020 grill which is a marked improvement from the cheese grater grill, but as some many have said previously "Travis really knocked one out of the park with this one!". I think another grill upgrade is in my near future.
    Cheers,
    Dean

The black surround is the SR surround. Just buy it.

I plasti dipped my surround. I'd recommend just getting the Sr surround though.

If you're trying to go the economical route I would say plastic-dip it for now and if you want to upgrade later get the SR Trim.

No doubt the SR trim is the best way to go if you don't want chrome.

Chances are you can find a used SR trim for sale here in the forums or even eBay.
The Part number for the one you want is:
    52711-04010

Just make sure you get the SR trim from the 2016-2019 grilles. The new SR trim for the 2020+ is slightly thinner/different and will not sit flush with the X-Trek grille.

@OMGitsme thank you for sharing, looks great.

This is another example of a front camera on the grille for those asking.
