You're going to find a lot of soot somewhere.

^^^This is a very good method. The engine "stethoscope" Many a vacuum leak or exhaust leak can be easily pinpointed with this method.

Would be the base flash + some logging.
The only exhaust I will have ready to go changes for is the URD full exhaust

Had an old stethoscope laying around from my Medical Assistant program lol removed the bell/diaphragm, threw in a plastic connector and attached another bit of hose. Will finish my morning coffee and then figure out a more appropriate length to cut that extra hose down to so that it doesn't lose too much sound along the way. And it give it more support when moving it around.

If I get extra bored, I'll probably wrap it in electrical or duct tape to make the hose stiffer for future use. Lol

That will do well. Won't take you long to find the exact spot, once you reference to the driver side.

Looks like it should be the passenger turbo-DP connection.

Badass suggestion with the stetho/hose guys, thank you. I'm keeping this contraption in my workbench now lmao didn't even cut down the hose, didn't need to.

Placed it on the various connections and everything was super quiet, hardly any sound. Pass.Turbo-DP was turbulent as fuck though, sounded like helicopter rotors lol driver side was nearly silent by comparison.

Lol no, super basic bitch no-brand thing they gave us when we were students.

I could never bring myself to mutilate a littmann.

Although, just for the record, the bells just slip on/off from the hose. It's not like they're hard to reassemble if you did take one apart.

pretending to listen to lung sounds

    basically, just pretending

The Littmanns are the best though, really clear and they survive on the bandaid box for a long time.

When you check and adjust the DP>Turbo, check that the flange for the DP is aligned with the turbo housing. You can see on the bolt holes it allows some vertical travel for aligning it.

    hopefully that makes some sense...

When the machine shop fixed the flange/bolt hole, they rethreaded (?) with a heli coil. There shouldn't be any reason why removing that bolt that's in there now to double check connection and remove the gasket for inspection would fuck anything up right?

Sorry if that's a dumb question.

It would be necessary if the first shop absolutely mangled the threads the first time by stripping it to hell. Which is likely the case.

Well what I mean is when the latest shop fixed the bolt, they couldn't remove it by drilling, and the flange bolt hole was too small to weld a nut to the bolt for removal. So they gave it to a machine shop that removed the bolt and if I understand the process correctly from what @lapoltba was explaining to me, widened the hole and then used heli coil to rethread and ultimately secure with the same size bolt as before.

So what I'm asking if there's any reason why removing or even loosening that bolt myself would mess anything up, like if the heli coil solution leaves it weaker than before or something.

As long as the machine shop did it right helicoils are usually a permanent repair. Shouldn't have any issue.

Bilstein 6112/5160s. OME leaf springs. 285/75/16. RC tonneau cover. Supernova v3 led lows, highs, and fog lights. Kicker speaker upgrade.
So yesterday I found my driver's side turbo inlet connection was loose. The clamp isn't actually small enough to seal the area properly so looking into so other options.

Yeah mine are tightened down super super tight but it's something to keep an eye on because it still backs off slightly. Less so on the passenger side. More so on driver side.

Also my silicone couplers at airbox and throttle body are doubled up to make a seal because otherwise they're just too big and leave too much space to make a seal.
