I lived in Chicago, where one could get the "best" deep dish pizza.

    Yeah fuck that, never again.

I’m doing Whiteline LCA bushings very soon. Plan to install them into a spare set of LCAs I bought from a member here.

I’ve read enough to know not to put any grease onto the outer metal sleeve that contacts the inside of the LCA eye. Grease the sleeves and inner portion of the bushing of course, but I’ve read conflicting info about whether or not to apply grease to the outside edges of the bushing itself and the supplied washers they mate to? I’m leaning towards yes but I want to be sure. What did you do for your install, and what grease did you opt for?

Any info or tips are hugely appreciated!

You are so correct for posting his correctness.

If they gave it a different name I wouldn't feel so assaulted by its existence

I was going to get them, but heard that was going to happen as it's the wrong rubber/plastic for the application

Home depot has some stuff you put under showers to waterproof the floor, that works good

Man, that's an old post lol

If you look at the post you quoted, you'll see the grease I used.

As for application, I applied a generous amount inside the poly bushing and onto the sleeve that slides in the middle.

I found it by searching. You did not use grease anywhere else, to confirm? Just the inner sleeve and inside the poly bushing?

    That is correct.

I used the stuff that came with it, and after some mud/dirt sessions I found my LCAs squeaking.

Took them apart and used the Prothane grease, as it's really tacky, and it quieted them down a lot.

Then again I'd take the truck out often so...it made a lot of truck noises.

Nobody who lives in Chicago eats deep dish unless they're taking their out-of-town visitors to Giordano's.

Now, Chicago hot dogs on the other hand...

True....Dan doesn't live in Chicago so that explains why he loves it so much.

Well all that work was for nothing lol, was even louder after I greased them up and put it back together. Thought the whole front end was going to come apart when I drove away

On the bright side it quieted down quite a bit in the way home, maybe the grease just needed to work it's way around, who knows. Still noisy though. Just gonna order some fking JBAs and be done with these SPCs.
