Glad he's ok. But obviously sucks that he probably won't be back for a while.

 

RIP Leafs. I see this being six or seven but I don't have faith in any team that suffers that in game one.

 

A bit early for that declaration after one game even with the loss of Tavares, which will motivate the Leafs. My prediction - Leafs win Saturday. One game at a time is how they play.

 

Tough to be optimistic when you watch Price play like it's 2015 and Captain Tavares basically take a wooden log at speed to the head. I call it the Hockey Gods being unfavorable.

I mean I'd be upset to if my team; shit the bed after showing some promise, then confirmed the guy responsible will still be in charge, and then tried to appease the fan base by giving the sisters some role with zero power.

 

I think it's tough to lose that game and also have Tavares go out BUT this should show if there is any fight or character on that team. Montreal is still not that good. Price did what he needed to do, but aside from that save on MM he wasn't challenged nearly enough, from what Leafs should be capable of. I fully expect Toronto to rally around Tavares and man up. If not, that says a lot about that group. I still think they get it done.

Also, Go Jets.

 

In watching the Montreal-Toronto highlights it looks as if they still have no fans in the building. Watching games with fans again reminds me how much better it is than those canned cheers.

 

Canes allowed a Nashville long pass breakout to score last few seconds of the first period what a mistake that was.

Early in 2nd Stahl has a breakout and ties it up at 2. Yeah baby!

Terrible delay of game call on canes to give Nashville a score on a 5 on 3 power play. Replay shows puck hit the boards before going over the glass, officials talked for 2-3 minutes before deciding to make the call! Not a reviewable call and if it takes you that long to decide without seeing a replay you have no business making a call like that.

Lol! McDavid doesn't like it when you can't play pick-up hockey.

 

TBF the Oilers had a 5 on 3 in the third that they got two shots from. They needed one goal and in the entire game they maybe had one or two solid scoring chances. That's not good enough in the playoffs. Their team needs to fix those things before whining about officiating.

Yep. That's what I'm saying. When teams take away your space, it's a lot harder to fly around and score at will. My dude Helle was good but it was more about the way the Jets played that basically kept Oilers big guns on the perimeter with very little high danger. Love it.

 

If they go down 0-3 people will lose their minds around here. They'll be coming up with conspiracy theories that make the ones floating around look tame.
