Fuse Box Question: what can I tap that’s is trigger by ignition?

I need to run a jumper from an ignition controlled circuit in my fuse box to my sPOD. Since the sPOD is mounted on top of my fuse box under the hood, figures it’s the easiest solution. Is there any pre existing circuit that would be the best to tap with a fuse tap? All it needs to do is bring power to the sPOD when I turn the car to accessory or fully on. Maybe everything in the fuse box under the hood gets power when I move to accessory or fully on?

Here’s how my switch pro is wired (ignition - blue wire, illumination - white, trigger - pink)

i assume you can do the same thing with the spod

 

I just need the ignition power to trigger one of my devices to come on automatically when I start the car...my cell booster. I’ll try that location where your blue wire goes and give it a go. Thx

Mounted by the clutch reservoir and they follow the factory wiring into the fuse box. You take out a 10 mm from the factory fuse box and you can come in with all the factory wires. It’s super clean

 

For the pink trigger what do you have that going to? Am I correct in the assumption that this trigger when activated also activates other switches when it goes live? So if I wanted rock lights to be triggered when my puddle lights turn on I would run the pink trigger to the hot puddle light wire?

 

My trigger wire is connected to the high beams. I’ve got it configured so when i flip on my high beams, it also activates my ditch lights. And when the high beams go off, they also turn off.

What switches activate off the trigger are all configurable within the app (you can have one or more activated off the trigger)

 

hey, so I tapped my pink trigger wire to the cargo lights in hoping that when I unlock the truck, the outputs I've enable will turn on. nothing is happening. I tried both white and pink trigger wire and nothings going on. I tapped by using a t-tap. I tested with a regular 12v led strip and I've determine that works. Would you happen to have any ideas why the trigger wires are working? been going at it for a couple of days already and can't figure out why it doesn't work.

 

@cmt_taco28 I would suggest making sure the accessory you are trying to activate off the cargo light is enabled to work with the vehicle off in your app settings.

 

Did you configure the triggers in the app?

you can also look at the switch pro unit and there are 3 lights that will tell you if that wire is active (ignition, illumination, trigger). The lights are labeled.

Ignition on vs ignition off will also make a difference depending on how you have your switch pro configured
