I drive 20-30K miles/year. If I thought there was a leaking issue, I wouldn't have a Fumoto valve. It's not about time. Just convenience

14 dollars once to make oil changes easier, cleaner, and faster for the life of your truck.. Totally makes sense for us who plan on keeping it for 200k

I just put one on my Tacoma, and also just installed one on my Mustang GT. I have one on the workbench ready to put on my motorhome. I think it will be fantastic to place a hose on the Fumoto, and put the hose in a milk jug. The thing I hate most about oil changes is transferring the old oil from the drain pan to the milk jugs that go to the recycler. and no more cleaning out of the oil drain pan. Also, my motorhome has had a small oil leak from the drain plug ever since I bought it 18 years ago. I've tried every combination of gaskets and drain bolts to get it to stop, with no success. I've heard that maybe Ford didnt tap the drain threads perpindicular, so the drain plugs leak. No matter what type of gasket you use. Lots of talk on the net about this theory. Now I'll be able to pull the drain plug, let it drain overnight, thoroughly clean, apply some Permatex Optimum Black sealant to the Fumoto and reinstall. Never to pull the Fumoto again, if the oil leak is fixed.

I had experience more leaking drain plugs than leaking fumotos. I'm guessing from people over torquing, cross threading or forgetting the gasket at every oil change. Even dealerships will somehow mess this up...

But a fumoto is a one and done deal.

My Corolla, had a fumoto for 8 years with no leaks. Even when the car was totaled, oil pan was bone dry. Transferred the fumoto to my Tacoma, same Fumoto 12 years strong. Having a skid plate gives extra peace of mind.

Also, it is only $20. A very functional cheap mod.
