    Got a 13 PreRunner. Parked it, locked it. An hour or so later key fob was dead. Changed the battery in it 2 times with fresh ones. Not working. The key for the door lock only turns to the left which only locks it again, key will not turn to the right. Any suggestions on getting into my locked truck? Thanks, LH

    Rear sliding window is very easy to get in, do that before breaking stuff whatever.

    Where are you located OP?

    I’d try AAA, locksmith, or local police before breaking a window. Never tried rear window myself. Lubricating your key/lock is worth a try.

    Any recent mods/changes?

    If it’s not an emergency you may want to take “help” out of the title. I hope you’re safe!

    Aux back up lights, Bed lights, Re-located trailer plug, Good dooby, a.k.a. jumper cable mod, Heated seats, back up camera,
    Lock lube. Don't use WD-40. It attracts dust and crap as well as get tacky over time.

    If the key turns in one direction, it'll turn in the other. You just need to fiddle with it.

    I second lock lubricant. Bet the lock cylinder has never been used. Probably stuck with some dirt and corrosion.

    dont break anything, it cost me a little over $100 to get in calling a tow truck, AAA reimbursed me 60. Just let the pros handle it, if you call a lock smith they can probably program you another key fob for about 60 bucks.
    let the pros help you.
    Good luck OP.

    Have you gotten in yet? If not pull your tags and leave it, the truck is worthless at this point.

    The other day. Somebody told me that it was better to spend all of your money on nothing, instead of spending some of your money on a depreciating asset. Which you could later, sell for less than what you originally paid.

    I do this when I get a flat or some other minor mechanical issue, just leave the piece of shit on the side of the road and go buy a new one.
