I often wondered if there was a high-flow filter option for the water/meth injection systems. Should definitely help with the clogging, especially when running smaller jets.

I quick update on the methonal kit and some info:

4 years ago I installed this kit probably close to 100,000 in use.

The system works fantastic but methonal kits do require maintenance.

With the methonal I can push 13 pounds of boost with AFR at 11 and running a custom mix and a #5 nozzle my temperature only go up 10 degrees or so at full boost while spraying

For the last month I have been fighting fluctuations AFR numbers all over the place from 10-15 AFR while in boost.

My guess was to check all the normal suspects,
    MAF
    02 sensor, replaced it.
    Exhaust leak infront of headers
    Vacuum leak
    Fuel regulator
    Totally stumped,

I ended up replacing the methonal pump,
    No change
I ended up replacing the controller
    No change
    I replaced the nozzle,
    No change
    .

Long story short the check valve was faulty and would block the methonal from passing.

Advice is get this methonal filter
Never use windshield fluid because it’s not distilled water and will clog the check valve and nozzle.
Inspect and clean your nozzle every 20k to be safe

I just upgraded my controller to this model, VC 30,

I love the remote that controls all the spraying functions.

Where did you mount the remote?
Trying to figure a good spot for it myself

I use that same filter and it's great. I also ditched the check valve altogether. I used to have my methanol plumbed into the plenum that saw vacuum all the time. The check valve was necessary to keep the line primed. After I switched nozzle location to PRE throttle body I got rid of the check valve because the line stays primed with no vacuum drawing on it. I have never had a problem with the nozzle clogging and I use -20 washer fluid and a couple bottles of Heet. Don't know if the filter is the reason I haven't had a problem or not.

Good to know, I used to run windshield wipe fluid, but the mineral deposits were terrible like cement
Coating and the nozzle would clog

Also my rotor pack bearing seal failed after a rebuild 50k later,
The seal that holds the oil in the snout going towards the rotor pack failed leaking the snout oil into the rotors and ran the snout dry of oil,

When I had the supercharger rebuilt after these bearing burnt up, the rebuild guy say the rotor pack seals were destroyed by the mineral deposits that encrusted these seals and made them fail.
    FYI

With this said I drive 25k a year and run a #5 nozzle so I'm spraying alot,

    The.smaller nozzle 1 and 2 I had clogging issues

I love that little remote, keeps it super simple and easy to adjust.
Currently its just floating in my glove box. Still need to find a more permanent location

Looking for some clarification. I have a SC with no mods. I want to install a AFR gauge so I can see what the truck is actually doing, but so far I don’t have any ping. I’d like to get more power out of the engine without being unreliable.

What I’m reading is that I don’t have to install a 7th injector, I can install this kit, and this will straighten out any AFR issues I might have, while giving me the benefit of cooler temps and such. Is that accurate?

You got it. You will create a huge net of safety plus you will gain a little power from the meth. It creates a cooler denser air charge and you will definitely notice it on the top end. Might give you an extra point or two of timing as well which will help in the power department.

You can buy methonal by the 5 gallons at 32.00 and mix it 50/50 by weight with distilled water,
    Much cheaper solution

Who sells 5 gallon pails for $32? I can find m1 VP racing for 40, but that’s the lowest.
