That’s pretty much exactly what I am doing with my cap. Will be removable though. Want to be able to remove it and what not for different trips and stuff.

That’s an idea. I have a 10ton but I don’t think it would be wide enough or strong enough.

I'm rally surprised that there aren't more members of TEC posting up their truck projects hear. The BS thread moves along pretty fast and sometimes when you want to go back and take a look at something someone has put together its hard to find.
Maybe this thread should be called builds/project/tech..... IDK.
TEC members show us those projects.

I’m going to try and post it in the bs thread and put it on the main page. Haven’t had a chance to do some site/cleanup things.

Next thing we are doing is adding super sweet safety toggle switches in my glove box

1 for locker any time mod, cuz engaging that on the highway is not my idea of a good time.

1 for VSC. I have been told we need to over ride the 2WD computer. Make it not aware my tires are spinning like mad in 4hi. So I can enable and disable engine retardation and slip control.

    *edit*

Forgot I didnt put my 4WD ECU delete pic in here.

Since this relay is my new 4WD ECU, it needs some help with a few toggle switches to get the job done how we want.

Coil is rubbing the shock body? Technically the coil shouldn’t move based on the top hat?

my old man emus had the shock dust cover run the body but it wasn’t the coil.

@TjAeCeOpMAmiah wired in the locker anytime mod kill switch last night. :cookiemonster: Now the locker anytime mod is only active when you turn the switch on.

With those safety switches, it feels awesome to engage that stuff :headbang:

    :bananadance:

All the small things are falling into place now

I would have posted if i got notifications, the site can be interesting some times.
my build thread and every in-depth detail about it is in there; mostly electrical nightmares
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/shveets-build-thread-clementine.619286/

but got a date set with @Tech HoFFinaTor for an alignment next week. I plan to start doing the front end's suspension this coming Friday (couldn't put the front end in last week since my Dad blew up his transmission and i had to deal with that first). so after work hopefully i'll have my own sanity in place to tear out the UCAs and put in the new SPC UCA and Foxes and fishing line alignment it Sunday to be drivable till i get it into a shop. i still don't have a wrench for the fox 2.5 for adjustments...

    IMG_20210608_124544387.jpg

so far the rear 2" lift is nice, started to get used to the difference. but the more i drive the more i hear it squeak (expected from OME Dakars...) which hasn't bugged me all too much yet but i'll need to do something about it eventually.
having the ass end that high up in the air is... interesting...

White line bushings are the way to go based on the lower control arm rebuild thread. I’m using these.
