Can anyone help me out by telling me if there's a way to adjust the sensitivity of the factory alarm system on my 2017 Toyota Tacoma? Thanks...

Why do you need an alarm, you have a MT, that should keep 99 percent of people from stealing your truck.:notsure:

The stock alarm has no shock sensor or glass break sensor. So I can’t see a need to adjust the sensitivity. And to my knowledge there is no alarm sensitivity adjustment. What part of the alarm are you wanting to set / adjust?
If you have the optional glass break sensor, then yes you can adjust that on the model itself.

Thanks for the reply. My father in law has a 2016 Tacoma with a stock alarm system and if u bump into one of his doors or fenders, it will set off the alarm. I have a 2017 Tacoma and it doesn't matter how hard you bump the doors or fenders or anywhere for that matter, the alarm just doesn't go off. Thanks...

    Hm interesting.

I tried banging on my doors, glass and fenders, nothing. Also tried to pull the door handles really hard, again nothing. Seems like the factory alarm is pretty shitty. If I had tools in my truck, I would definitely invest in a proper alarm with shock sensors and a remote with a screen.

There is no shock sensor of the stock alarm. But IMO that’s a good thing, shock sensors are notoriously crap with constant false-positive, which is why you don’t see them much anymore. Open your door and it’ll go off (from the interior light circuit), also there is a glass break sensor (optional Toyota accessory) that works very well. One thing that I wish it has is tilt sensor (fuckers stealing wheels). But not a bad alarm just because it doesn’t go off from any twit with an obnoxiously loud exhaust, hail storms and such, which seems that’s all a shock sensor is good for, well that and kicking doors.
