Most tunes have split into separate threads to cut down on clutter here. Search for the ones you want on the forums and you’ll most likely get to the destination

Its because he doesn't have a scooped hood. That's 90% of the reason the Pro doesn't get stuck, the other 10% is the door badge

Anyone have tips for a tune on 04B81 running 5.29s? Or did I miss it in the previous 158 pages somewhere?

Thanks for the patient reply; I can’t believe I missed that one! Exactly what I was hoping for.

I’m off to tinker and if I learn something useful I’ll be sure to share.

    Peace.

For 04B33, which ECU ID seems to be a good conversion over when tuning?

What are you asking? 04B33 is the ecu ID. What would you be converting?

Sorry. Not familiar with the language. Maybe it's porting.

What ECU ID's are most compatible when creating/dialing in a 04B33 tune? If that makes sense.
I haven't unlocked any ECU ID's outside my own. Figured if there was a ECU ID easiest to port, I'd unlock that one for comparisons and learning.

I'm just dipping my feet into this. Keep putting it off. Figured tinkering with an existing solid tune as a starting point would be better for learning than starting from scratch. For me at least.

04B33 is your ECU ID. Other ecu IDs are ones you probably have seen mentioned, such as 04B04, or 04B14, 04B81, etc. Those are for other vehicles, and they refer to other model years and transmissions.

The three supported for your model year and transmission are 04B30, 04B31, and 04B33. There's presumably a 04B32 then but it's unknown, not supported to my knowledge. Regardless, you are on the most up to date version available to you.

I think what you're asking is perhaps what unedited OVTune maps/tunes are best to use as a starting point to edit from? In my opinion, I would take one that says Reg_Stock. You could edit one that says THX, which is enhanced throttle and means it requires less pedal travel while at speed to produce a response (acceleration), but it's likely you'd end up modifying the table that controls that, which effectively makes the THX edit useless since you're editing it anyway (not a bad thing). So I suppose it really doesn't matter if you use it to start with or not.

"Reg" means it's for regular octane fuel. But the tunes all have octane learning, so you could run premium if you'd like and it'll learn and accommodate for the higher octane and use it.

"Stock" is in reference to your gears. If you've done a regear, then the 4.88 and 5.29 tags in the tunes refer to those, with appropriate edits.

33 and 35 on maps with either of those in the file name is in reference to tires. By putting in tire size, your shift points will raise to be more appropriate for the larger tires you may have (if you've got them), otherwise you'll be shifting too early.
