I work with many “merican trucks only” guys and took an unofficial poll Friday about the electric f-150, out of 12 guys with the funds to switch when they release, not one was even getting past a snicker.

I think Ford is gonna fall on its face with this launch. I hope they aren’t cutting regular production to make too many of these, they’re gonna take a hit on the first couple iterations.

California and a large part of the EU have mandated new sales to be EV’s (carbon neutral etc wording depending on the law), by 2035. Like it or not, EV’s are a large part of the future

Oil is still running the world, and we’re years away from an electrical grid that will support that many Evs.

no doubt electrical autos are the future, but the question is if they’ve truly arrived.

And I don’t think you can make that argument... yet.

A threefold increase in four years seems rather ambitious; not just from a consumer demand standpoint but also from a production capacity standpoint. SK Battery America hasn't yet opened the plant here in GA that they began building in 2019.

 

It’s not that crazy if you look at all the companies just coming out with their first “real” EV offerings this year and next. There’s not much available in the right price range right now, but there will be in the next 12 months.
